Oazalla

Government

The city state is run by a court of nobles. These Nobles have gained power either through regulation of resources or through military expertise and cunning. The amount of Nobles on the council changes depending on who the council deems is necessary to governing. Because of this members of the council are often vulnerable to espionage or even assassination this is viewed as a natural function of the ruling cycle. However, that does not mean that a noble will not do everything in its power to remain in its seat at the table. Because of this the government structure seems disparate and centralized. However that does not mean that this city is one without law. Warriors of the Oazian demographic often take their honor extremely seriously and act punitively with discipline one would expect from years of military training.

Defences

The city is naturally defended on all sides by the desert and also by the intervening sandstorms which could wipe out even the greatest of armies. However, the wall still stands as a strong reminder of the might of the rulers of the city. It is said that while one may reach the city entering it is a new problem in its entirety as they are afeared of Outsiders and I've only recently opened up their people to the prospect of exploration. Still, the wall serves as a bastion between the outside and the unknown and the inside which is controlled by the Noble Council

Infrastructure

The city of Oazalla is extremely advanced having a complete sewer system and plumbing available for most homes. The foundation of the city is on a bed of hardened sandstone in the city itself is protected from the deadly sandstorms that plague the desert. This protection stems from Old World structures that still exist in the heart of the desert. They create a magical barrier which causes the scathing winds to stop in their tracks. This does little to quell the reverence towards the wind God Wynnaga.

Points of interest

One structure that stands Out Among the rest is the Golden Palace. This is where many Nobles meet and spend their days it is home to a grand library and also a collection of artifacts from the old days. It symbolizes the connection of the Nobles to that original founding of the city. Some legends even say the Genesis of the city predates the Calamity itself.
