Mercenary Troupes

Surviving the time after The Calamity is a varied and arduous task that has led many to alternative and innovative lifestyles. Even in the current age, the world is no stranger to violence, danger, and conflict which is where the mortals of Mercenary Troupes step in and stand out.   The Mercenaries of Cinder's Hope act as problem solvers in every sense of the term. Many train from a young age in the ways of hard labor and combat. The organizations themselves often trade in goods and barter rather than amass currency however none are immune to the allure of riches. Many troupes have built reputations and specialize in specific tactics, causes, and job types and often share a culture and/or brotherhood.   While mercenaries may specalize in violence not all assume the role of soldier and individuals within troupes may have different roles, of which teams are often formed depending on the job. While mercenaries are paid per job, a cut of any completed task must go to the organization in general. Mercinary Troupes often are led by a single leader who delegates tasks and maintains the organization. These individuals are highly respected within their troupe and are known to collect varying degrees of celebrity.   Some mercenary troupes may have unsavory or otherwise uncouth reputations, however, what seperates them from the common bandit is that Mercinaries often work within and have established foundations within city-states and often have relationships with local guard and governance. Several Mercinary troupes may be active within any given settlement and while the operative ability of mercenaries is often unrestrained, city states have been known to outlaw and forcibly remove mercinary troupes from the city should particularly heinous or illicit actiity be conducted by the troupe in question.
