Degir (De-GEAR)
Often depicted as a golden hammer or a blazing forge, Degir is the God of smithing, craftsmanship, and honor. While there have been very few stories of Degir being viewed on the mortal plane, many craftsmen describe being visited by a smith with a golden hammer in their dreams before creating their magnum opus. Descriptions of this smith vary from an old half-orc to a young human clad in black armor.
Many followers of this Deity believe there is a right way to do things, and that way is always worth doing. Objects blessed by the Smith-God are said to have uncommon qualities far beyond the normal capabilies of the materials used.
There is a shrine dedicated to Degir located in Spirefell that also serves as one of the largest forges known. The hilt of a large obtuse greatsword jutts from its center and it is said that the heat from the impact of that sword is what keeps the fires of this forge warm to this day. While unsure of the sword's origins, it is also whispered among smiths that one day, when the fires of the Honorforge begin to wane, the owner of the sword will return to ignite the flames once more.
