Golden City

The Golden City is one of the biggest Centurian cities ever built next to Saint Mortorf and Trade City, but compared to the others, it‘s the richest and best decorated city you can ever find, having in mind that the Golden City isn‘t called Golden City for nothing.

Demographics

Nobles of all races, slaves being used as their servants, slave traders, merchants, entertainers, celebrities, mages

Government

The city is ruled by the richest mayor called Drobald Slump who‘s the son of the Billionaire‘s son, also a goblin. Tax cuts for the rich, tax raises for the poor.

Defences

Big , white, thick and tall walls surround the Golden City with each corner having a golden watchtower containing three guards of different classes: Soldier, Archer and Mage. The golden gate is huge, guarded by two large tank guards, all of them in shiny gold looking armor and white silk. There‘s also a river surrounding the walls, nested by crocodiles who get fed with intruders, unwanted trespassers and troublemakers. Besides that the guards make sure they get fresh fish to feed them.

Industry & Trade

The city keeps a tight leash on the slaves working for the rich folk and famous people with a high recognized reputation. They do the hardest labor, even being sent to the mines digging for gold, diamonds and anything else they can find. Doing trades with Trade City benefits the market and the nobles quite well while the poor get ignored and shoved into slum quarters where nobody else would dare to go and stay. The city does also well for allowing mages to enter for various reasons. A lot of kings, queens and mage kings/queens come there often for several shopping tours. It‘s also the place where a lot of flickers and books and all kinds of culture are being made.

Infrastructure

The city, especially the most important districts like the market district, the plaza and the gardens, are decorated with gold and diamonds. Everything else seems to look the same like in other cities and towns.

Assets

Stores, shopping malls, market places, theatres, hall of flickering pictures, museums, shopping hall of enchantrics, weapons and armor shops, clothes shops, jewellery shops, pharmacies, clinics, etc.

Guilds and Factions

Actors guild, painters guild, merchants guild, mages guild, assassins guild, fools guild, alchemists guild, enchanters guild, inventors guild and slavers guild.

Architecture

The architecture of the walls and the buildings contains mostly white brickstones, golden frames, diamonds and white sidewalks and streets.

Geography

The Golden City is in the Eastern Continent, in the south where it‘s surrounded by the desert sands and palms that were planted for decoration and food for the rich (coconuts and bananas for example). A lake surrounds the walls that was manually factured by guards and soldiers. The water there isn‘t fresh due to crocodiles living there. The fresh water is inside the Golden City statehouse, private property of the mayor. Others can buy his water for a bagfull of money.

Natural Resources

The city doesn‘t truly have natural resources, since it‘s in the desert and the lake and the palms were planted by the Golden City‘s soldiers. The gold and diamond mines are located in the southern mountains close to the city walls.
