Icewynne mines gold and mithril from under the ice of the southern lake. Recently they have struck a small vein of blue ice. Kael is a skilled leader and strategist, but the nobles are yet reluctant to recognize his talents. It is rumored that he is an arcane caster.
Lore: A great wyrm frost dragon were supposedly slain here many centuries ago and sank to the bottom of the lake. It´s remains is said to be the cause of the prolonged winter and nevermelting ice in this region. It also conjures an eternal blizzard on the icy lake, making it problematic to venture back and forth with caravans (supplies and equipment, and the loot from mining).
A tribe of frostgiants reside on the eastern edge of the ice. They are led by a frost giant Dragon shaman Thryrmr. After some violent negotiations the Frost Giants could stay on eastern Icewynne peak, to be near the long dead frost dragon, and worship it´s burial ground. The Dragon shaman can calm the storms to the north of the lake and direct it against enemies or if the storm is to strong and hazardous.
House Eldorin traveled here to ensure the alliegance of the five cities on the southern border.
