Korasha
Among the two clades - Damaya and Lashunta - Korasha are 95% male, making them the subservient clade within Lashunta's matriarchy. In fact, when most people refer to a Korasha, they mean male.
Whereas Damaya are tall, lithe, and majestic, Korasha are compact, muscular, and hirsute, Their personalities are generally brusque and war-like. They have reputations for being rash, but also loyal.
Korasha are found everywhere in Lashunta society, but often struggle for recognition within the Lashunta's matriarchal system

Social Structure
A senior-rank Korasha or of sufficiently high social status may be known as ~laras~ - master, which will follow their first name sufficially, such as ~Dosuaesh-Laras~ - 'Master Dosuash. As a form of address, it may be used as ~A laras~ - 'Master.
Due to the social disparity between Damaya and Korasha, Korasha have no lordly title equivalent to ~ile~ - lady. In the cases where the masuline ~ilas~ is used, it is assumed to refer exclusively to an Elflord.
Civilization and Culture
Beauty Ideals
Male Korasha are described as 'rocky' or 'stout like a stump'. Their shoulders and muscles are compares to a crag's boulders or the gnarled burls within a tree's stump. Their hair is liked to the moss that grows upon stumps and boulders.
Male Korasha practice a variety of hair and beard styles, shaving and trimming in various ways. Most cityborn Korasha will also shave their bodies, especially their backs and shoulders. The term 'hairy ape' is as insulting to Korasha as one may assume.
Female Korashe are not as hairy as the males, exhibiting less body hair and almost no facial hair.
Gender Ideals
Male Korasha are expected to serve, both as mates, laborers, and warriors, to a female. They provide children and service to support them.
While all Lashunta accord worth to scholarly pursuits, a Korasha following a scholarly or psychic vocation is taken as a great honor by their family. This is one of the few areas in society where a Korasha may have a chance of obtaining near-equal status with Damaya.
Female Korasha, (~Korashe~) occupy a tenuous, even dangerous, position in Lashunta society. They are accorded none of the entitlement their Damaya sisters enjoy, and are forced to compete directly with males. Some more malicious male Korasha perceive in them an opportunity to inflict abuses that Lashunta matriarchy would not ordinarily allow. With motherhood, however, some (but not all) female Korasha achieve a degree of protection, due to Lashunta taboos against harming mothers and children.
Courtship Ideals
When a Korasha enters a romantic relationship with a woman, he will kneel and kiss her belly. This shows not only acknowledgement to her station, but also to the reproductive power within her. It also makes it a short trip to a more intimate act of worship.
Common Myths and Legends
In Lashunta myth, Lashunta were born from Maeazuvire - the First Milk-Tree. The first Korasha was born from a knothole in a burl just above the roots. teatwort blossom among her leaves.
The word ~Korasha~ in Lashunta taking the common gender, refers to Korasha in general or in a plural sense. If one wishes to refer to a specific Korasha, one would most likely use the masculine gender: ~Korash~ or ~Korashas~. In those instance where one refers to a female Korasha, one would use the feminine gender: ~Korashe~.
