Argathios Cloudborne
King of Zaruten, He Who Will Be Most Remembered
Argathios is said to be the greatest Wizard in all of Carcerra, capable of shaping his kingdom to his liking. He has incredible control over the Weave and an encyclopedic knowledge of the realms of existence. His rule has persisted in the face of the Shadow War, destruction delivered by Deforos, and the never-ending conflict with the rival nations.
Like most Zaruten rulers of yore, Argathios finds purpose through might. He is the first of a long line of Cloudborne royalty to express that might through powerful magicks.
However, he is also the first of his bloodline to face civil unrest. He has been dubbed "the False King" by the rebels within his borders.

Personal history
Oldest son born to the Cloudborne family. In his years as a Crown Prince, he had a reputation of being slightly more forgiving than rulers of the past. They say he was inspired early on in life to try things differently and to show mercy to Zaruten’s less-motivated. Still, as caring as he may have been in his youth, he dedicated most of his time to his own studies and royal education. Like his father, he spent many years adventuring to put these skills to the test, and to study magic history in the archives of Gradius.
