Hume

History Humes, (Common: Humans) were a simple race, focused on tribal and nomadic life until the Age of Humes around the year -999 BGE. The resilience and adaptability of humes caused them to integrate, reproduce, and aid many cultures around the world. Living short lives, like the Orcs who welcomed them, meant their villages and towns were propelled forward rapidly.   They were a driving force in bringing established monarchies, feudalism, and the organization of diverse armies to the continent of Ursanth. Ultimately, this led to the war with Giantkind that nearly eradicated the collective culture. An act that caught notice of the Gods, leading to the human saint, Arexios, giving his life for all of humankind and ascending to Godhood.    Variants Humans form hybrid species with all manner of life in Carcerra, with half-elfs and half-orcs being the most common.    However, humans also appear to have a knack for being influenced by the Gods and the Weave, leading to unique bloodlines and features that are not representative of the average mortal. The results of this influence can vary from person to person, leading to many myths and legends surrounding Hume heroes.
