Dinosaurs
Dinosaurs are a revived group of reptiles that originated from Earth in the Sol System. They were first discovered and identified in the 19th Century and were brought back from extinction in the Mid 21st Century via cloning. They can be found in most terraformed worlds today, with high populations in certain systems, although are quite rare to find in the wild in the planets of Sol.
Basic Information
Anatomy
The main traits are reptilian in general behavior and appearance. Prominent feathering in many species while others have rough scales. Birdlike hips, with some bipedal and others quadrupeds. They can come as small as 5 inches to as large as over a hundred feet. Can be cold-blooded, warm-blooded, or mixed. Can be herbivorous carnivorous or omnivorous depending on the species. And are all terrestrial creatures(Although many close relatives can be aquatic and airborne).

Geographic Origin and Distribution
When Dinosaurs were first brought back from extinction in the Mid 21st Century, there were many concerns as to the effect they would have on the ecology of Earth. The planet at that point, hadn't seen dinosaurs as a natural part of its ecosystem in over 65 million years. So many attempts were made to restrain their movement and track their location. This was rather successful with larger dinosaurs, however, smaller ones did manage to escape and cause ecological problems for local life. By the beginning of the 22nd Century, most countries banned the cloning and rearing of dinosaurs if they were below a foot in height with many of said laws existing to this very day. However, during the terraforming of Proxima B and subsequent migrations, dinosaurs were introduced as one of the dominant species. This was largely due to an attempt to attract settlers to the planet, using the formerly extinct creatures as a novelty, a tactic that largely worked for a time. Although, the novelty of dinosaurs did wear off eventually. This precedent did bring dinosaurs to many other exoplanets in the Galaxy, although Proxima B has a far higher dinosaur population than most other planets(65% of all life is some kind of dinosaur, compared to 20-40% on other planets).

Conservation Status
Largely considered an invasive species on Earth, Mars, and parts of Venus. Commonplace in most exoplanets, especially in the Alpha Centauri System.
