Ribbit and Weep
General Summary
As Tibzik settled on closing his inn for the night, Jann went in search for Eldon Thorne, the unofficial leader of Kellmouth. Together, they pulled together the town to discuss the attack and what should be done going forward. Eldon and the other townsfolk offered to scrounge up a reward if the party could find the whereabouts of the miners. Worried about more of the creatures catching them unaware, the party decided to head out immediately. Jann was able to find the trail due to a loose wheel on the cart used for supplies.
They found themselves at a deep running stream where Jann launched himself across while the others searched and found the bridge the cart had to use to get across. Unfortunately, their arrival at the mine only led to more sorrow. During their frenzy, it appears Tellen and Korin had slaughtered their compatriots. Boc found one of his siblings slain, though his other brother was not amongst the dead. As they began searching the area and discussing how to handle the grisly scene, a couple members noticed some movement in the shadowy forest behind as a massive frog with bark-like skin jumped out and attacked the party. The party was able to dispatch their foe quickly, though a frustrated strike after the fight nearly poisoned Tibzik while Boc attempted to find a remedy for his own poisoning.
You continue to develop as a party. Jann still finds himself looking for control of his abilities, whether it is inadvertently launching fire through the air or himself. Pip, rapier in hand, has found that all of his training with sticks along the river waiting for passengers had not completely gone to waste. Boc has continued his mushroom focused endeavors, though the antidotes were not strong enough to take on the toxins from the ironbark frog.
