Deenx

Domesticated livestock raised for meat. Native to Canera, with the typical hexapod body form.   Hairless, somewhat barrel-shaped with stumpy legs, less than waist-height, red and silver/gray horizontal stripes along the body. Gives live birth to litters of 6-12. Broadly omnivorous, and grow quickly.   The middle legs are shifted forward, and the front legs are modified for digging. The hands are broad, spadelike, and split down the center, with a few small claws along the distal edge, and a row of sharp knobs along the underside. These are used to excavate roots, burrowing prey, and their own much larger burrows, usually under rocks or trees.
