King Lance Brightsong
King of the Kingdom of Solis. He married into the Brightsong Royal Family after serving for many years as part of the Brotherhood in the capital.
Unlike previous kings, Lance Brightsong does not come from a high ranking noble family. This has been a point of content within the capitol's ruling class. His inability to be beaten in both magecraft and the sword has deterred most factions from moving against the throne in questioning his competence.
On his daughter's 20th's birthday he was the target of an assassination attempt by the Royal Protector. Although he survived, he has not made any public appearance since.
