Erenëis
Goddess of wellsprings and underground caves
Erenëis is not necessarily a personification of a divine aspect and more of a force or a presence. In the old elven language Ereniye means origin and for the elves these places of origin were and are sacred. There are no shrines erected in the name of Erenëis and there are no followers worshipping the Goddess. But wellsprings and underground caves are revered by all peoples close to nature as places of birth, creation and emergence.
For the desert tribe of the Scosari, who roam the Roushani Mesa, Erenëis is called Garghana and their aspect is held in high honour, since water sources in that area are rare.
The cave dwelling Jormer People of the Mawu Euros, a mountain range east of Nalukkhur make offerings to Kaíssa, a representation of the Entity guarding their caves and wellsprings. Indeed the mountain waters of the Mawu Euros are famed for their purity.
