Seasonal Domain

Spring — Growth, renewal, beauty, love, and hidden peril

Overview

The Spring Bloom Court is one of the four major seasonal courts of the Feywild and the most outwardly benevolent. Ruled by Queen Lyris, the court governs the season of renewal and transformation—budding flowers, first loves, and the waking world after winter’s slumber.   Yet beneath the splendor lies a dangerous truth: growth feeds on death, and every bloom bears a thorn.   The Spring Court’s influence on Tarnith is strongest during the Midspring Convergence, when The Verdant Veil thins and fey magic flows freely into the land.

Court Aesthetic

The realm of the Spring Bloom Court is a place of eternal dawn. Cherry blossoms drift on the wind, crystalline streams sing lullabies, and palatial glades shimmer with dew. Fey knights ride on antlered stags, and petals bloom where they step.   Its court members wear living garb of flowers, silk, and moss—yet all carry blades, hidden or otherwise.

Notable Figures

  • Lady Briomel, Thorn-Scribe of Lyris – chronicler of seasonal lore and deadly poet
  • The Bloomwardens – elite guardians who wield nature-infused weapons
  • Syraniel the Budborn – a sapling dryad envoy to Tarnith’s druids
  • Beliefs and Power Structure

The Spring Bloom Court prizes beauty, rebirth, and calculated mercy. It rewards passion and punishes stagnation. Intrigue is common, but wrapped in flowery language and veiled compliments. Lyris rules with grace and a subtle iron will.   Its members see mortals as seeds—meant to grow, but also be pruned when necessary.

    Relations with Other Courts

  • Summer Blaze Court: Sometimes allies, often rivals in passion and territory
  • Autumn Gloam Court: Viewed with disdain; accused of letting beauty rot
  • Winter Frost Court: Respected but mistrusted—cold must give way to spring
  • Symbols and Relics

  • Bloomthorn Scepter – Lyris’s staff of office, a weapon and symbol of life’s duality
  • Glen of First Bloom – mythic origin site of the court’s power
  • Petal Sigils – magical tokens used to mark fey-blessed mortals in Tarnith
  • Ties to Tarnith

The Spring Bloom Court is deeply entwined with Tarnith’s history. It forged the The Pact of the Fey-King with King Branoc the Bold, granted the Emerald Sigil, and is spiritually tied to the Cauldron of Eternal Wellspring.
