Cauldron of Eternal Wellspring

“Life eternal comes at a cost no mortal fully understands.” — Saying of the Druids of the Veil

Type

Primordial Relic

Origin

Woven from the raw threads of life, death, and rebirth by Myria, the Twilight Keeper, and entrusted to Cerridwyn, the Whispering Wellspring, the shapeshifting guardian of Wyrmwood Glade. The Cauldron predates recorded history and is believed to be a vessel through which the Sacred Cycle flows.

Location

Hidden deep within [Wyrmwood Glade, beneath the watchful eye of Cerridwyn.

Appearance

An immense basin of root-wrapped obsidian, etched with glowing runes that shift with the seasons. Its waters shimmer with twilight hues—sometimes reflecting stars, sometimes faces long gone.

Powers

Rebirth: Can restore life to the recently deceased, but demands a spiritual price—usually a memory, a soul fragment, or a future fate.   Purification: Can cleanse curses, corruption, and lingering wounds, but drains a part of the user’s essence.   Revelation: Those who drink from it may glimpse truths beyond the veil—past lives, future paths, or hidden knowledge.   Unforgiving Sentience: The Cauldron is semi-aware and judges all who approach. The unworthy may be cast into despair or twisted into husks that wander Wyrmwood forever.

Myth & Legacy

The Cauldron was misused in ages past, leading to imbalance in the Sacred Cycle. In response, Myria bound its magic, and Cerridwyn became its eternal warden. Only those who pass a series of trials—rites of intent, sacrifice, and reflection—may tap its powers.   King Caedryn once sought it to save his homeland, and though he succeeded in reaching it, the price he paid echoed throughout Tarnith’s history.

Legends Say

Fey courts are mystically linked to its energies.   Its water cannot be removed from the glade without becoming mundane.   In times of great cosmic imbalance, the Cauldron stirs violently, boiling without fire.

Current Status
