He then went on to become an outstanding figure in the military, managing to hold off an entire army of 500,000 in the Siege of San Sebastian even though his men barely had any of the Zosuntuk BAs nor rifles, nevermind ammunition, but still held on as he helped fabricate the aforementioned within the city and pushed back the ERF as he personally led the armies with sword and rifle at hand, gaining him a promotion from General to Great Lieutenant while also gaining the favor of Adam.
Soon enough, came the Grekar-U.S. Oil Crisis of 2103, where the United States tried imposing its authority over Grekar by forcibly taking over some brand new oil fields within southeastern Grekar Ukraine with a force of 20,000 led by Robert Washington, Michael's brother, as an insult to the arising power but young nation. In response, Adam sent Michael with an army of 1,000,000 to tell the U.S. forces to, and I quote, "get the ---- out of my oil". Michael marched up to the American force and demanded a surrender with all of his troops behind him, but was denied by his brother. And so, he ordered for the troops to open fire and a new skirmish began, where eventually Grekar would result victorious and the 3.000 surrendered/captured troops would be sent back to the U.S. with either one of their feet or hands would cut off (at exception of Robert Washington). The corpses of the dead U.S. soldiers were first completely dismembered and then thrown into the Black Sea under Adam's orders.
During the Great European War, he was surrounded and put under siege by Spaniard-Italian forces in Andorra, with his forces being unprepared for the outbreak of war, thus resulting undersupplied and understaffed, most of his soldiers being fresh recruits with barely any combat experience and lacking in the powerful Zosuntuk Battle Armors. In spite of that, he held against the attacking forces and managed to hold on, producing his own prototypes of the ZBA within the local factory and quickly fortifying the outside and inside of the city. He trained his small force and led them through battle, improving morale and boosting their confidence, eventually breaking out of the siege and pushing back the enemy forces even under heavy infantry, artillery and aerial fire with his iconic sword and pistol at hand. For this effort he was made Great Lieutenant by Adam Borowski in a ceremony specially for him. He then was transferred to the Nordic front, and eventually met with his brother in the middle of the Battle of Stockholm. They exchanged words and Robert tried convincing him of abandoning Grekar and going back to the U.S., but he refused and a Grekar charge interrupted them. Michael proceeded to lead the army to conquer the entire of Scandinavia, freeing the Empire from an entire front and, by consequence, leading to victory against the ERF.
However, he would finally face on directly his brother in the Third World War as he landed alongside his troops on the east coast of the United States. During the Battle of Detroit, he led an army through the urban landscape against the army led by Robert, with the struggle being long and harsh, with Shlenetzki needing to intervene when the U.S. almost made a breakthrough in the front. Then, in Lansing, he steamrolled through the hasty defenses of his brother, although he managed to escape to the West Coast where he would command his armies from a distance.
However, soon he was pushed back to the East Coast after a new offensive had been made against him, forcing him to station himself at the brand new Fort Khan, where he would welcome the Emperor alongside his cousin, Obari Banks, that was now Adam's girlfriend. Although once again things would go wrong for him as a surprise raid upon Fort Khan managed to capture Adam Borowski after he had overextended in the ensuing battle. He then provided background support for his rescue operation, covering Shlenetzki's and Mimpoi's backs in their advance to the Texan prison the Emperor was being held at.
With this new advance and with Adam's fury, he was declared Commander of the North American Theatre and given access to all of the Grekar Empire's resources, which he immediately put to good use. He made a massive counteroffensive, which eventually led to the Siege and, subsequently, Fall of San Francisco in the 22nd of June 2108, where he captured his brother and the U.S. President Equator M. Smith, ending in the capitulation of the United States and the victory of the Kurtze in the Third World War.
After the Third World War he alongside all the top generals got a ceremony, where they celebrated their acomplishments within the war, with him bragging on causing the capitulation of the United States after capturing its president, the first and last time ever in the whole of history. He was then reminded by Shlenetzki that he would've been captured or killed in Detroit if it weren't for him coming in to save Michael's ass.
He was then put to work in the anti-resistance efforts in North America, having 20 divisions under his command to crush any resistance movements that may pop up in the meantime of integrating the recently-annexed countries into Grekar, but was promptly delivered 50 more after a rebellion in the Rocky Mountains declared a state of total war against the Empire and almost destroyed his relatively small army.
When the MUCG zone was finally stabilized, he was transfered to Siberia in order to perform "training maneuvers" alongside his army in the Mongolian Border, where he heard about the Grekar invasion of the major African powers and how the rest of the world united into the UPKC, eventually forming the New Mongol Empire. He feared that Adam Borowski was planning on world domination through war, as he knew very well that it would cause hundreds of millions of deaths due to the recent NME advancements in military technology alongside massive manpower and harsh terrain, even considering the possibility of defeat for the Grekar Empire for the first time in a decade.
However, his fears would not be respected. In the 21st of April 2117 a border patrol soldier shot dead a rival troop, thus kickstarting the Grekar-Mongol War. He was in charge of the Manchu-Mongol Front, piercing through the feeble Manchurian defenses but being pushed back by the Mongol horde of soldiers equipped with ZAP-7 (Zosuntuk Armor Penetrators mark 7). He personally led an effort within Manchuria to surround and destroy the Mongolian forces and take Ulaanbataar - the NME's main capital - but he would need to go through the city of Peking. And so, began a long and harsh struggle with the Manchurian-Chinese forces, with him alongside a specialized force from Shlenetzki Fernandez pushing through the plains and, in February of 2118, reaching the city of Peking. It was slow, brutal and cruel: the massive urban battlefield was like nothing they had faced before, the most experience he had with mass urban warfare was with the Siege of San Francisco alongside the Battle of Detroit, but that was long ago. Now it was time for him to put to test his natural skills.
He was most of the time personally in the frontline with his ZBA, leading his forces through the rubble of skyscrapers and ruins of houses, the burning cars and scorched corpses, boosting their morale in these harsh times. For a whole year, he stayed in the frontline, witnessing first-hand horrors he had never seen before, even when he had attended many other active warzones before. Nonetheless, his mind was strong and determined, with his objective clear in mind: Conquer the Forbidden City.
By November of 2119, however, Adam Borowski had grown tired with the long struggle, with the public putting extreme pressure on both him and the Great Emperor, with the latter contacting him, demanding a quick victory to boost public morale and lessen the pressure the people put on both of them. With the Battle of Peking having reached 90 million dead and in general the Grekar-Mongol War almost hitting 2 Billion dead, he decided that immediate action should be taken. He said to the Great Emperor that by New Year's victory would be assured, and started planning. With Shlenetzki Fernandez being put under his command, he came to the conclusion that one last charge would make the New Mongolian line crumble under its sheer power. Thus, on the 3rd of December 2119, he rallied up his troops, briefed them on the plan, then next day went to the front holding one small whistle.
The bullets flew through the air, explosions resounded both near and afar, most of the skyscrapers had already collapsed with only a few standing, but barely. The sky was mistful with smoke that covered the retreating moon, puddles and lakes of blood stained the rubble of the streets. Michael, with his Zosuntuk BA, crouched behind a concrete barricade alongside some of his most seasoned soldiers. He got the notification through radio that Shlenetzki was in position and ready to go. He looked in front of him, a street barren from life yet filled with its remains. He peeked behind himself, and saw the enemy trenches dug into a highway. Back in cover, he took a deep breath while facing downwards, contemplating his whole life.
He raised his head with determination in his eyes, then yelled with every gram of force within himself, "VAKZER, MILITE GRUKAR! EMERGZI VICTORIOS!" The whistle blew with the fury of a dragon, and the shouts of every Grekar troop in the city were heard at the same time. They lunged forward with rifles and swords at hand, fury roaring through the air as artillery came down upon both lines, the Mongolian forces being overwhelmed with the sheer scale of the assault. Michael went personally ahead with his iconic sword and pistol at hand with a Grekar banner hanging from a flagpole in his back, removing his cubic full-head helmet as a sign of bravery and determination, charging against machine gun fire and hordes of bayonettes. Through the entirety of the day he fought, getting cuts in his cheeks and ears, one of them being removed from a gunshot. Still, he went on with his troops, taking ground at a never-seen-before rate, but on 2:19 PM of the 4th of December 2119, while leading a horde of his soldiers through a Tibetan stronghold in southern Peking, he was shot in the middle of his forehead with a 12.7×108mm-caliber bullet, killing him instantly.
Relationships
History
Both were born in the 1st of January 2069 to a slightly-above-average family in Buffalo, enjoying a comfortable life playing around and bonding until their parents decided they needed to be MEN and so sent them off to military school. They both enjoyed their time there, as their high physical dexterity and intellectual capabilities allowed them for an easy time around there, being highly liked by their superiors and fellows due to their assistance in many other tasks with others and friendly nature. Eventually, they passed and were given a choice, either serve in the proper U.S. Army as 2nd Lieutenants or go to a foreign ally and get the rank of Captain. Robert chose to serve his country and get 2nd Lieutenant while Michael decided to head towards Poland and serve as a Captain within there.
They were separate for many years, not hearing much about each other until Cpt. Michael caught wind that Robert had been ascended to General in 2095 after his role in the Cartel War in crushing the enemy lines with ease. Michael congratulated his brother through a letter, but then in 2096 heard of a new movement going around in Poland of a possible insurrection, Already disliking the current dictatorial regime and having to serve it, Michael decided to join the insurrection and serve as a high-standing Colonel within it, leading battalions to victory through the whole of Poland and Germany in the name of Grekar during the Polish Civil War. However, Robert was called to arms by Poland and had to help out in the war efforts of the FRoP, getting gravely hurt in one incident.
The brothers then confronted each other on the Battle of Poznan, with Michael leading the main charge against the defensive line formed by Robert. The twins' armies had a long and harsh struggle, with Michael going face-on with sword and rifle at hand killing every enemy in his way before being shot in the forearm and needing to be evacuated. Robert, meanwhile, held on to a machinegun position and fired at the incoming waves of enemies, but barely being able to retreat after being overrun by Grekar forces.
After the Fall of Warsaw and the proper forming of Grekar, Robert tried contacting his brother and sway him over to come back to the U.S. and become a general with him, but Michael refused to do so, saying "My hands are stained with too much blood of too many Americans, trying to lead an army of them would be a disgrace to me and the United States." Enraged, Robert cut off all relations with him but with a great deal of regret and grief.
Eventually, the Grekar Wars of Europe came along and forced the hands of the brothers in combat. Michael observed as Shlenetzki Fernandez led armies through France and intimidated Belarus while Robert saw his various fellows hold the line in Paris and Vichy. All of that before the two once again came to battle against each other in the Great European War, where they went face-to-face in the Battle of Stockholm after their squadrons had killed each other off or were dsitracted in other combat.
They were at a barely-standing store, both of them holding swords and their pistols with their respective uniforms and flags on them as the silent cold of the night was counteracted by the raging gunfire and burning piles of wood and flesh. Michael spoke, "We meet again, Robert. How nice it is to see an American that isn't willing to shoot me down the moment they have a chance to." Robert responded, "I am not afraid to do so. You have commited treason against your homeland, you're murdering your brothers and sisters in arms while pretending everything is alright." Ashamed, Michael tried contesting, "I once chose this path believing it to be for the better, but now I am stuck here. Murdering my own people that I once sweared to serve." "It is not too late, brother. I can give you a pardon, your military skills can make Grekar crumble like bread, we will make the Pax Americana true once again." "I'm afraid not," Michael said with regret, "for that my treason is beyond forgiving. My alliegance has been chosen, and my fate is now to destroy my own home." A whistle was heard from a distance, and shouts began to be heard. Michael then said to his brother "The charge is now. Go and take refuge, for they will not take prisoners. Goodbye."
After the Great European War, both of the brothers were repeatedly insulting the other side in every chance they had, but in the deep really having no such feelings against them, however their circumstances would not allow that.
