Sorcerer Kings
"Sorcerer Kings" is an umbrella term used to refer to the magocratic ruling class of the late Old Kingdom, the Empire of Thorns, and the various states formed after the fall of the Empire and during the Shadow Wars. While numerous factions existed under this umbrella, the Sorcerer Kings were united in their use of sorcerous arcana and subjugation of the common people.
