Basil Bay
The Most Well-known Port Town on New Ellis Island and the first town for most new arrivals. Founded on Sharkhead Bluff, the location once served as the Hideout for Culin's Requiem Pirates, who decided to seize an oppurtunity to spite the Aesir Navy by taking in the prisoners they had abandoned to the jungle. Lead by the now retired Pirate Lord and druid Flint Baker, a great deal of the Villages surface Architecture was Originally created from the salvaged remains of Ships, most of which once hailed from Midgard as a subtle (by pirate standards) sign of the groups alliegiance. Beyond surface level buildings a great deal of Basil Bay thrives below the surface, Sprawling and expansive caverns lurk beneath, both natural and man-made through Druidic Arts.
Defences
While the Culin's Requiem has retired as Pirate Lord faction, their talents haven't completly wasted away, nor did their connections, There is an untold number of Creatures lurking beneath the misty depths, including Culin Requiem's most devastating ally, A massive Garguantuan Dragon Turtle that once served as the Captain's own Ship in his prime, With this knowledge in hand, it's of little question as to what created the Graveyard of sunken ships that surround the Isles and gave it it's once grim reputation as an Isle of Death.
Beyond the Sea, the town is protected by Stone walls and a makeshift Civilian millita consisting of former pirates, while many lack the formal training and Strict Regimen of a traditional paladin, their more than sufficent at restraining the wildlife and stragglers that could attack.
Assets
Breeze Family Lighthouse and Breeze Marine research Center- Located on top of Sharkhead Bluff. The Lighthouse shares the same design as their Eitrian Counterparts, save for it's most pivotal part, the recharging station the lanterns utilize, which appears to have been violently removed out of sheer contempt for the Ashen Lanterns. The Breeze Marine research Center and Aquarium is also build into the lighthouse and it's sprawling basement, with an illusion projected onto the Bluff cliffside to serve as the underground Aqaurium's curtains, opening said curtains grants the appearnce of a Sharks Wide jaws opening.
Decken Postal- made up of and ran by a massive Aarakocra family, Decken Postal serves as the main Post Office for the Isles, Founded by the Inexplicably ancient Avian Decken shortly after Colonization. Decken has ties to Flint's crew, being a formal member before he was forced to retire after what was believed to have been deadly cannon incident that shot him out of the sky, he was missing for months before eventually being found washed up onto another island missing both legs and an eye, at least, that's one version of the story he's told.
Weighted Die Bar- A rather Popular Cliffside bar known for in it's in-house brew, it additionally serves as the Home of it's owner, a Dwarf by the name of Dolgrun. The Bar has been understaffed as of late with Dolgron's recent illness putting most of the work onto the lone goliath and the recently purchased Keg Golems, it's rather difficult to find employees willing to take a punch.
Polytheist Church- A sprawling but abandoned temple that was repurposed and built up into a Church, the details of it's previous owners and their gods is unknown, however the largest section of the temple appeared to be dedicated to some sort of aquatic god, this room was repurposed into Deluge, the Primary god of the church, Each of the new gods and the primordials have dedicated sections of the church for prayer, even if yggdrasil's under constant cleaning. Through the Churches gardens serves as the entrance to the Drifting Turtle Monasteries underground entrance.
Penrod Hunter Lodge- located on the edge of the town walls, the Hunter Lodge serves as the Town Guard's break room and the home of Tavin and Farx Penrod, the two brothers who have been apart of Culin's Requiem since it's inception. The Hunter's Lodge provides a great deal of services to the town, beyond hunters and guards, it also serves as the main source of primary relocation facility, much of the karlo Isles citizens consist of refugees in hiding or former criminals. To many people, the Karlo Isles can be seen as a place of second chances and rebirth, starting with the creation of a new identity.
Evan's Forgeworks- Every torn has it's fair share of crackpots, this is just where most of them prefer to congregate. Beyond serving as the tons Blacksmith and printing press this is where Reed stores most of his experimental tech, for the sake of ease of access Reed has made a mine shaft in his basement that he uses for material and deeper storage.
Johnny Osb's Alchemical Solutions- Twon Apothecary, also doubles as the General Store next door, when Dr.Valentin or Dr.Adelfo are off traveling the Isles this serves as the only bastion of medicine.
Medusa Banking- The only bank you can trust on an Island of Pirates, please stop depositing chocolate coins.
