Deities of Breon: an Overview

Breon has inumerable deities some with unfathomable power others with very specific and limited power. Some entities are not truly gods or even immortal but are so powerful and long lived that they walk among the pantheons rather than mortal circles. The two primary defining attributes of a god or deific entity are the following:

Major Deities

The following list of deities are those commonly believed in around the world of Breon. Anywhere the common tongue is spoken, these beings are known. The gods are separated into 4 groups, each least powerful than the last. At the end of the document, Spirit Deities are discussed. These constitute lesser or specific patron deities which have limited scope or power.

The Forebearers

The forebearers are those gods who proceed all others. Gaillen, Sonath, Thamos, and Dunnean. From them came all others and everything.

The Children

The children, or the primes in some areas, are the four children of Gaillen from which all life on The Planes is formed. From them flow the prime elemental energies which give shape to all of known existence. While their power is vast, it is unbridled and wild not like the controlled powers of the greater gods.

The Created Ones

The created ones are those gods who were forged in part or wholly by the forebearers. Each was given a select purpose and a spark of their creator’s power. This makes them fractions as powerful as the Forebearers, but still stronger than any of the ascended

The ascended ones, or simply the ascended or ascendants, are mortal beings who were either endowed with a spark of godhood or somehow unlocked the means to rid themselves of The Planes of existence. They exist as both forces of control and reminders of ancient greatness even though they have the least power among all the gods

Walks with Golden Stars

CG- Ancient Shoanti Shaman and most revered of the Spirits, said to be the first. Ushered in the ways of hunting the wilds to the clans and created the paths of honor for the Sklar-Quah. It is believed that Walks with Golden Stars did not die and find a place among the Spirits as all others do but entered into the spirit realm physically to guide the spirits of all other Shoanti on their way to the Great Sky.
