The Cult of Alfredo

The church of Alfredo (or cult as they are more commonly known) is a widespread congregation of peasants, convinced that the promises of Alfredo are true and genuine. They can often be found attempting to protest any form of industry built around chickens. In rare circumstances they have been known to turn violent.

Structure

The cult is highly unorganized, instead periodically forming into mobs.

Culture

Almost every member of the cult is a peasant, usually from towns dedicated to caring for chickens. They are, by their own tenets, a poor people who have given up everything they have to acquire lands which they can give to their hoards of chickens. When not standing against those who consume their holy animal they can be found at home tending and caring for their gods favored animal.

Public Agenda

To put a complete stop to the farming killing and consumption of chickens. They wish to realize Alfredo’s vision of a chicken paradise, believing that their struggle has secured for them eternal bliss after death.

Mythology & Lore

They believe whole heartedly that this realm is ruled by a monstrously large rooster, Alfredo, and that mortals have foolishly abandoned their purpose as care takers of Alfredo’s children. Despite the historical abandonment of purpose, The Watcher Poultry is a forgiving god, ready to welcome any mortal who abandons their life of selfishness and surrenders their mortal life to the betterment of chickens.

Divine Origins

Alfredo will periodically present himself as a gargantuan rooster, and personally make the claims which the cult have come to believe. He avoid heavily armed or highly intelligent cities and focuses on the little folk he believes will accept his message. Whenever he sees the opportunity to spread his word, he makes a worldly appearance which the peasants struggle to argue against.

Political Influence & Intrigue

Nations with a heavy presence of the cult find it to be a sort of double edge sword. On one hand these nations are able to collect large amounts of chickens on a regular basis, for both food and export. However, they must also deal with constant peasants revolts and protests against the collection and usage of the chickens they watch over. Some nations have taken to deceiving the cult even further claiming that the church is a state religion and the collection of chickens is to further enhance the quality of their life in another city.
