Tieflings
Tieflings first appeared in Berinen shortly after The Scourge was cleansed from the land. They have been regarded with suspicion and distain ever since, and this hasn't eased despite over a thousand years passing since the cleansing.
Scourge-Touched & Children of the Scourge
Tieflings are a rare sight in Berinen and will keep themselves to themselves unless absolutely necessary. Due to their association with The Scourge, they are often known as Scourge-Touched or Children of the Scourge and the boogie-men in bedtime stories. A particularly nasty rumour is that they carry The Scourge in their blood to this day.
