Orc Leadership

The Orcs respect strength above all else and the strongest of the tribe is therefore the de facto leader. The way of deciding who the strongest is comes down, like most things in orc society to a simple one-on-one fight. The winner taking status and prestige from the loser, and often their heads too.   This runs right the way to the very top and the tradition is upheld without question.   Even when a female defeats every male orc that comes at her - which is how Chieftain ‘Boss’ Halosh Manbreaker took her position as leader of the tribe.   Her success has allowed many female orcs within the tribe to feel a sense of empowerment for the first time, and many have begun to stand up to their husbands and other males. This revolution shows no signs of abating while Halosh remains in charge.

Government

What Halosh says, happens.   Enforced by Battlemaster Thorgul Firebane and High Shaman Narzula Darkweaver, anyone found wanting is killed, or banished to Kharth to fight the Dwarves to the south or other tribes coming from the east.

War

The Orcs are no strangers to battle and are constantly pushing against the notional border to the south with Barakendar and The Gauntlet. They consider themselves to be in a state of war with the other races, however cannot muster a sustained offensive as a result of constant internal power struggles to usurp Halo and battling other Orc tribes advancing from the east of Berinen which see a female-led tribe as easy pickings.
