The Procedure

During the brutal Rule of Sultan Aslan people of Raj Mahal were subjected to many tortures. However one in particular stands above the rest. In the depths of his madness Aslan grew ever more distrustful of mages. This distrust festered into outright persecution. Mages were rounded up by the thousands. However, rather than killing them he decided on a self proclaimed "humane" way to deal with them. His researchers had isolated a source in the body that controls the manipulation of the weave. multiple "organs" in the joints of the body. They also found that when these "Najima" are destroyed, so is the casters abilities. They strapped the mages to a table, while heating several iron balls in a furnace. They made incisions in the joints and one by one, placed the red hot iron spheres into the joints, destroying the najima. The mages were then banished into the desert to fend for themselves. While the practice doesn't officially still exist, the residents of Oasis and The Khamaseen may tell you a different story.
