Umbriel possess the general components of the standard J-40 Silent Dragon aircraft, such as the wings, cockpit, landing gear and internal A.I. unit.

Umbriel is known for her rather unique paintjob, as her hull is almost entirelty painted in a jet black color, and also has two dark blue stripes that are painted onto both of her wings.

She Meng Yao was first constructed in Wenjiang Airport, Chengdu, China, by the Chengdu Aerospace Corperation. Being a part of over a dozen J-40 Silent Dragons that were ordered by the Chinese military three years before, She Meng Yao was the fourth J-40 unit to be produced, and had begun construction in the December of 2292. On the 13th of October, 2294, Umbriel's J-40 body was fully completed, and one of the final steps of her production was to install the programming that would've given Umbriel her personality traits and fighting capabilities. However, in the process of installing her programming, an error was found around the half-way point, but despite the obvious error happening right in real time, the Chinese engineers were forced to carry on with Umbriel's development by the higher-ups of the company. By the time she had activated for the very first time, Umbriel would act seemingly similar like all of the other J-40s, but over time, would slowly begin to show her true nature. Unbeknownst to any of the staff at the airport, the error during her programming installation had permanent effects on her personality that would cause her to develop a hyperbolic personality that was unlike any of her J-40 "siblings". It was due to her so-called "defective" personality, that the Chinese engineers would deem her as a failed unit and miraculously survived instant termination when a higher-up at the company would decide to spare Umbriel by simply deactivating her until she was absolutely needed. Eventually, she would be reactivated in the December of 2294, when after a deal made between the Chinese military and the recently founded Aresian military, Umbriel would be among the various resources that China would give to the Aresians as a means of support in the latter's rebellion against their British colonizers on the planet Mars.

Upon being activated, Umbriel first greeted the Chinese workers around her in a feminine voice, and had seemingly chosen to be a female since the moment of activation. It is forever a mystery why she had chosen to be a female, and is a choice that only Umbriel would take to the grave.

Umbriel, being a aircraft with a personality, has almost zero regard to sexuality. Umbriel in particular, cares more about inflicting pain and trauma against her enemies more than who she's attracted to.

Umbriel has fought in many important battles during the Aresian Civil War, said battles were mostly victories for the Aresian rebellion. These battles include the Battle of Maria Cidada, the Second Battle of Ghiorso, the Battle of New Guernsey City and the Northwest Campaign.

A standard J-40 Silent Dragon unit has a high IQ, around 140 or higher, due to being outfited with advance state-of-the-art hardware with the ability to calculate and formulate battle maneuvers and other information. However, due to her error, Umbriel doesn't have the same capabilities as her fellow J-40s, and would probably land around a 100 on the IQ scale. Despite this, she is still highly competent and perceptive in times of combat.

Due to her sudden programming error, Umbriel has developed a highly sadistic, apathetic and often cruel morality that is very unlike her fellow J-40s and other aircraft allies. Her apathetic nature can be seen in how she treats civillians, as she often has little regard to them and is even seen being quite when she sees the full extent of her own destruction. And as Umbriel herself says it, if there's war, there will always be people who end up in the crosshairs no matter what.

Due to her highly aggresive nature, it would require anyone approaching her to do so with as much kindness as possible, less they want to risk angering Umbriel and causing her to react explosively to said strangers.

Likes: Almost nobody (except Markus Willmeng and possibly Sean), killing people (even civillians), flying erratically   Dislikes: Pretty much everyone (especially those she's fighting against), being referred to as Umbriel, "cowardly" people, Korean and British people

Due to her very aggresive and unpredictable personality, it is very rare for her to develop a relationship that is developed more than being told tasks by military officials. Her closest relationships to anyone else is Markus Willmeng, whom she has utter loyalty to, and Sean, who could be somewhat seen as her closest "friend" in a sense.

Umbriel has absolutely little care for any religion, but is often seen as a hardcore athiest due to her tendancy to initiate long rants where she blurts out information that would disprove whichever religion that she hears of.

Umbriel has a confident but also somewhat condescending tone to her voice, and often speaks as if she's superior to whoever she's talking to. When speaking English, she speaks in a soft Californian accent.
