Mental characteristics

Personal history

Having been born in a small, lower-class commune of the Portuguese city of Vila Nova de Famalicão, Armando was raised in a highly traditional and Catholic family, who all closely followed the traditions of common Portuguese culture. By the time he reached his double digits, Armando would seek ambitions to one day serve as a mighty and power leader of the military, while also seeking to be gental and charitable as well. Armando would gain his opportunity to join the military, as by 2241, he would become enlisted into the Portuguese Army. As the 2240s went on, Armando whould slowly but surely raise through the ranks of the military, and would become a major-general in the army by 2252. However, only meer weeks after this, the Portuguese Army would start sending military forces to its Martian colony of São Diogo in an attempt to help deter any potential conflicts with the neighboring English colony of New Guernsey. Armando would be selected to help govern the Portuguese colony during this time of rising tensions, with Armando himself gladly accepting this proposal. By the time of his arrival to the Red Planet by the February of 2253, Armando would attempt to convince the colonial goverment to instigate a resolution with the English colony to prevent the outbreak of a major conflict between the two colonies. His attempts would be in vain, as on the 9th of August, war would errupt after failed diplomacy on behalf of the English. After his worst fear was made a reality, Armando would have no choice but to help lead the Portuguese forces against the English in what became the first military conflict the planet of Mars had ever seen: the São Diogan War. Despite being utterly disgusted at the thought of having to lead armies into brutal way, Armando would accept that any final chances for peace was entirely extinguished by this point.

Failures & Embarrassments

However, despite of his constant proposals for peaceful compromises with the English government, almost all of them would be ignored by them, and would die in 2271 knowing that he failed in not only reclaiming the lost territories of São Diogo, but also losing the entire colony to the English and soon-to-be British.

Quotes & Catchphrases
"(I believe in the effectiveness of diplomacy. The English will surely concede this time.)" "(No. No. Why do you think that? The English are human, definitely. It's just, the people who lead their soldiers are just... mislead. They believe that they're doing good, even though they're at the benefit of our expense. We lost territory of this colony to them, yet they desire more from us. I have the personal duty to reclaim that lost territory for us Portuguese, for our future generations.)" "(You all are soulless; I should've known this since day one! To think that I once thought that some faint glimpse at some sort of peacefull, or, semi-peaceful resolution between us and you filthy pigs was even possible. I thought wrong. Is this really what your king wants? More land to carve up for himself? If so, then you're all just servants, martyring the lives of innocents just for some oligarch's personal fantasy. If any of you truly have a soul, then you'd realize that none of your lives mean anything; you're just being used as disposable foot soldiers for conquest. You Anglican whores.)" "Why?"
