Animos, Soul's Father
Domain: Souls, Judgment, and Cosmic Guidance
Animos is the god who created the soul possesing each living being. While Sorilios, the Sun God created life and existence, living life existed in a passive form before it was given a soul by Animos. He has never shown a humanoid form to those who follow him, preferring to remain distant; even when conveying messages to his followers, he remains vaige and does not direclty communicate. The stars that drown the night sky with shapes are Animos' form that people look to. Through this form, he guides his followers on their journeys, be it in the world or in the soul. Many believe that when a constellation can be observed, it is Animos sending a message to his children.
Animos' purpose as a prime diety is to judge fallen souls in their truest form and decide wether to send them to Moruguum, the Afterlife for a peacefull death or send them to Gehenna, to the Unforgiven to be "reforged". Animos can see each soul to its core and judge it better than any other could, he shows no favouratism and not hate to his children.
Those who follow Animos or any of his lesser gods fall under the Church of the Soul. Similarly to those in the Church of the Mind, the followers of Animos are often passive and practice their religion through their own means without spreading it actively. Followers study the stars and constellations seeking a connection to their diety. Many of the followers spend every night meditating in open under the light of the star. Through such practices, followers achieve spiritual awakenings and learn more about themsleves than they ever knew possible. Churches built in his name are made to honor the stars and animos himself. The churces can range from planetariums to a few chairs and counters set up in an open field, as long as the stars are visible in some way and their is space to meditate under them, his followers are pleased.
