Bubble Dragon
This small dragon has an opalescent coloring with sudsy, iridescent wings sprouting from its back.
The Bubble Dragon is unique in several ways from a typical dragon. It does not get the height that comes with maturity like its cousins, instead it gains some interesting abilities as it gets older.
- As a hatchling, it has the ability to cover itself in large bubbles by holding its breathe and pushing out its "skin". These bubbles will take the damage of any incoming attack before the Bubble Dragon takes any itself. After the bubble has taken 3 damage, it pops and disappears. A newly hatched dragon can produce bubbles once a week.
- As a child, bubble dragons gain the ability to create extra large bubbles that can trap up to a medium creature/humanoid. These bubbles will float upwards 60 feet before popping on their own. They can be popped before then with a strength check, or by causing 25 damage to the bubble.
- When they become a young adult, they can begin to thicken their bubbles into a foam. This can be used along with the breathe attack, to create a Suffocating Foam. It can cover up to 2 medium creatures ( if they are next to each other). The foam can be washed off, or wiped away, assuming the creature has use of both hands.
- When the dragon finally reaches adulthood, it can concentrate its bubbles, and make them do damage. In lieu of its breathe attack, it can use a Dazzling Beam. The bubbles used for this attack are harder, larger, and manifest in a directional ray. Its produces 1d100 bubbles, and each bubble has a 5% chance of having a random bubble effect.

Basic Information
Anatomy
Wing Span: 5-6 feet.
Tip to Tail: 4-5 feet.
They stand 2.5-3.5 feet tall and weight an approximate 2lbs.
Genetics and Reproduction
When the egg is first formed it takes 5 minutes before handling of the egg does not result in the immediate popping of the egg. The Bubble Dragon egg needs to be protected from all sharp objects while it incubates. It takes approximately 1 month to fully harden, and should be kept away from anything pointy, including straw, sewing supplies, long fingernails, weapons and the like. Most breeders will move the egg to a reinforced box lined with silk only after having fully inspected it for any debris.
It should be noted that the mixture required to produce an egg, only has enough magic to create one life. Should the process be messed up, 3 new scales will need to be acquired.
Growth Rate & Stages
It takes 5 years for the Bubble Dragon to reach each new stage of life, fully maturing at 15. The oldest age of death is 47, since most have been popped by then, it is really an unknown on how long they could live.
Additional Information
Geographic Origin and Distribution
Typically only found in areas with a heavy concentration of other dragons.
Civilization and Culture
Major Language Groups and Dialects
Bubble dragons can only speak Draconic.
Interspecies Relations and Assumptions
Despite only speaking Draconic, there have been claims that some Bubble Dragons have successfully followed in their cousins footsteps and produced half dragon children. No such claim has been proven at this time.
