Morgran Desert (mor-grun)
The vast majority of the Morgran Peninsula is made up of a sprawling desert with few respites. This desert lies between the Midor Sea and the Gulf of Viskii on Ayndrinor's southeastern corner. The desert's southwest corner contains the Stones of Morgran and eventually gives way to a lush tropical rainforest. Its northwest corner meets the Hills of Morgran which form an isthmus - the only piece of land connecting mainland Ayndrinor with the peninsula.
There are only two known oases or respites in the midst of this vast desert - and both are inhabited and have grown into decent-sized towns. Dunes Respite sits in a sort of valley created by several large sand dunes, with a small pool at its base that provides fresh water and cooling for the area. Ogrimph is situated on a much larger oasis and has been able to accommodate a larger, more sprawling population that its western counterpart.
Geography
The vast majority of this desert's area is uninhabitable and non-navigable, composed of rolling, ever-shifting dunes. It contains several very small oases that tend to "shift" over time - as older oases dry up, new ones sprout elsewhere - and two slightly larger respites that house towns. These oases are fed by underground deposits of water, namely where several dunes create a valley for the scarce rainwater to collect and begin to foster the growth of trees and plants.
