Overview

The Volani Isles is a realm dominated by water. There are no major continents, only small islands that pepper the Azure sea. From an outsider's perspective it sounds like a beautiful place, but in truth it's one of the most dangerous of the known realms. Within its oceans, upon the land, and soaring through it's skies are apex predators that pose a threat to all who enter. The Leviathan's Dragons make up the majority of fauna in the isles. Aside from smaller endemic creatures the animals that live alongside the dragons are all reptiles. At it's centre The Leviathan rules over the realm in peaceful solitude, preferring the rolling of waves of conversation.  

History

Very little is known about events that have transpired within the realm as any expedition into the Volani Isles was either met with a quick death or a hurried retreat. The the most notable of these expeditions occurred during The Mortal Ascension when Mortals tried to bring the Leviathan to their side. This has been the only recorded time that anyone, including Veldren were allowed into the Volani Isles with no resistance. All but one of the diplomats were killed in the encounter as the Leviathan found them pitiful and undeserving of assistance. Despite the realm's history of death, many overconfident adventurers attempt to venture into the isles chasing the tales of dragon hoards that could rival the wealth of kingdoms.
