Moira's Star
As her final act, the Goddess Moira cast both the pure and evil of her soul into the gem, trapping with them the knowledge of her illusory magic. Falling from her loose hand it shot through the sky as though it were a shooting star. The treasured item of the Goddess Moira, crafted by her late lover for her birthday, Moira's Star is a magic artifact that holds the mysteries of the Photomancer's and Melanomancer's illusion magic. On each facet of the gem, tiny magic circles are inscribed which contain a myriad of knowledge and spells that the wearer can use at little cost. It is said that with her final breath, the Goddess Moira sealed away her knowledge and soul. But with both pure and evil being stored within, legend has it that the user can suddenly be trapped within their own illusion unknowingly until their death. That has not stopped many people from vying for it. It has shown great use in wars and personal ambitions, trapping the enemy in an inescapable prison formed by illusions. It is still unknown how it works, where it gets the energy required to cast such large-scale spells and many researchers would like to get their hands on it in hopes of rediscovering the secrets of illusion magic lost long ago. However, it seems fated that Moira's Star be hidden from view. Three times it has disappeared. Once for centuries after it fell, another time passed down through generations after generation unknowingly, and now, after the disappearance of Marjoko, it has vanished once more.
