The Glimmers
"Glimmers" is the term used to refer to those born during Realm Conjunctions. It is often believed that those who are born during these events actually carry the souls of those who died at the same time in the other realm. It is often expected that these individuals will later live a life filled with travel and wandering because their souls are not truly of the realm of Avarha.
The same term is also used to refer to those who die on Avarha during a Conjunction, as it is believed they are reborn on the other realm.
Spread
The existence of Glimmers is something that is believed across Avarha. Whether it is embraced, feared, or laughed off varies by the community, however. Many communities have their own terms for Glimmers that mean essentially the same thing.
Variations & Mutation
There are some in various parts of Avarha who believe that Glimmers aren't those born during Realm Conjunctions, but those who are conceived during those Conjunctions. Those who believe this try to encourage others not to do anything that might lead to pregnancy during a Conjunction.
In Literature
There are many stories about Glimmers that have been written throughout time and that are published regularly. They are an archetype in adventure tales, romances, and mysteries.
Note
While many who are adventurers and wanderers may claim to be Glimmers, it is unclear if being a Glimmer led to such a way of life, if individuals have chosen such paths because they felt they must or should as a Glimmer, or if it is used as a convenient explanation for certain life choices. The individuals in question often reject such thorough questioning about their backgrounds.
