Realm Conjunctions
Realm Conjunctions, also simply called Conjunctions, occur periodically throughout the year. During these events, the various realms come very close together, sometimes even brushing up against each other in a physical sense, resulting in objects and entities being able to move from one realm to another with greater ease than at other times.
Conjunctions are vitally important to the survival of all in Avarha as they are the cause of all weather in the realm. The early days of all Conjunctions, as well as the final days, are marked by storms, with milder weather during the peak of the Conjunction. Between Conjunctions, there is no precipitation in any region of Avarha.
Manifestation
Realm Conjunctions come with vibrant auroras, some that can even be noticed during the day. Visual illusions often accompany the strongest Conjunctions. Those who notice these report seeing things that physically aren't there, as if they can see into whatever realm is currently close. Some who are especially sensitive to the proximity to other realms may experience shifts in mood, energy levels, magical ability, or have other sensory experiences.
Localization
The Skywatcher Institute was established to study the Conjunctions and find ways to reduce the potential for harm caused by the close proximity of the realms during these events. It was the Skywatchers who eventually discovered the key to keeping homes, towns, and individuals from being harmed as a result of Conjunctions, experimenting with minerals found deep within the rocky heart of Avarha until the Core Anchors were successfully developed. Prior to this discovery, each Conjunction brought the fear of homes, whole towns, and people vanishing to another realm, or being overrun by entities or other phenomenons from other realms.

Natural Effects
Though rare, there are some species of plants and animals in the world of Avarha that need Conjunctions, especially those with certain realms, to thrive and reproduce. It is believed that these species must have originally come to Avarha from other realms and, while managing to survive, require their original realm to truly thrive.
