Rule Book of the Adventuring Guild of Avarha

The Rule Book of the Adventuring Guild of Avarha, simply known as "the rule book" or "the rules" by those within the organization, was created to keep the organization running smoothly and to ensure resources were properly dispersed and records properly kept.

Document Structure

Clauses

The clauses of the rule book include how to join, who can join, how payments are made, how and what resources are made available to both members and non-members, management of records, establishing new guild houses, and how guild leaders are chosen.

Publication Status

All Adventuring Guild guild houses have copies of this document available for members and prospective members to access. Members may also request a copy to keep for their own reference. Though changes to the rule book are rare, the guild will post notices at all guild halls when changes are made to make members aware of said changes.

Historical Details

Background

Across Avarha people have been looking for treasures, lost cities, and otherworldly monsters since the beginning of time, thanks to the Realm Conjunctions that frequently bring change to the realm. However, the Conjunctions themselves limited when and where people could go out to seek adventure. After the creation of the Core Anchors by the Skywatcher Institute, it became much easier to find adventure. Those who wanted to see the world began to be offered paying jobs investigating mysterious happenings or hunting beasts that appeared from other realms during Realm Conjunctions. These jobs acquired the name of "quests" over time.

While there was often competition between adventurers or the groups they belonged to, a sense of camaraderie began to form among those who crossed paths often, especially in large towns and cities where resources and supplies - as well as the quests - could be found. This led to the formation of the Adventuring Guild of Avarha, which was created to give adventurers a place to come together, acquire resources, and pick up quests. The creation of such a guild naturally required a document to help keep things organized, and thus the rule book was created by those early founders.
