Personal history

Lyten wrote very little about his early life and family. It is said he was working on a memoir when he made another Walk during a Realm Conjunction and never returned, as a representative from the Skywatcher Institute discovered the incomplete manuscript when trying to locate him after his disappearance. The manuscript remains in the archive of the Skywatcher Institute, and the institute has stated that it has no plans to publish it at any point, nor is it available to be read upon request. Whether this is to protect the reputation of the Institute or to preserve the memory of Lyten, it is unclear.

Sexuality

In some of his books, Lyten described his sexual encounters with others in the other realms he visited. These included individuals that would be considered female as well as male by popular opinion in Avarha, as well as those who were of different genders and sexes not common in Avarha. He boasted about having "hybrid" children in every settlement across the realms - including some in Avarha - though whether or not that is biologically possible in all some cases is debated.

Employment

Lyten was known to be a Realmwalker who worked often with the Skywatcher Institute. He also worked with Finders Publishing, who published books about his travels for a wider audience.

Failures & Embarrassments

Later in life, Lyten was accused of exaggerating his stories of traveling to the other realms, after some members of the Skywatcher Institute pointed out inconsistencies between the research notes they had on file that he had provided, and the books published for general readers. Lyten blamed editors and executives at Finders Publishing for modifying his submitted manuscripts, and partnered with the Skywatcher Institute itself to publish books that would carry the Institute's approval as the editors would fact-check against the notes they already had from him. Some believe this was a small change that didn't matter in the long run, because he had already made a significant income from the Finders Publishing books.
