Triazine Energy
Triazine Energy is the name given to the power gained from Triazine Crystals. It is generated by heating the crystals up to a high temperature causing the atoms inside to collide and split at an accelerated rate. The energy released can then be harnessed and syphoned to power machines, tools and vehicles. The energy output of the crystals is 3.14 times higher than the energy required to produced it.
The crystals are found in the caverns beneath the Caso City lakes and are a recent discovery of the Caso City Archaeology Institute (CCAI). At first, CCAI believed they were left by a lost civilisation, but studies showed they were naturally occuring and were soon passed to the Science wing of the council to be studied for potential uses. As with most things with the Caso City Council the discovery of the crystals were kept secret from the general public, and any findings were extensively researched, tested and retested before being released.
Utility
Once the mining, harnessing and syphoning of the crystals were deemed safe, all new technology of the city was made with Triazine Energy. The first and most famous being the Slider, a newly designed enforcement vehicle used by the Caso City guards. Other notable technology is in food production, implementing the power source has meant an increase in food production by 200% in the last 3 years. This has improved the quality of life for every Caso City citizen and made any protest against the new energy source seen as being against the public's best interest. The Caso City Council has proposed a 12 year plan to introduce Triazine Energy to every household, reducing the cost for both the city and the people. The city is currently in the process of replacing its public lighting system with Triazine Energy, a process that has regretfully disrupted the cities roadways and routine.
Caso City Council control the distribution of Triazine Energy but have promised it will power every home in the city in the next 12 years.
