Kaska Ice Cream
The biggest export of Kaska Kun is siege weapons for war, its second biggest is ice cream. The ice cream made in the northernmost parts of Auros is considered the best in the world. Its naturally cold climate allows for the product to be kept at colder temperatures for longer periods of time, meaning any flavours can be obsorbed at a higher density. The ice cream itself is made inside large frozen glaciers deep underground by specialist engineers who have to train for 18 months before they are trusted with the process.
The Kaska Ice Cream now comes in over 70 flavours, ranging from the common ones like strawberry and chocolate. To the more peculiar flavours like Rhino skin and Mucus (no rhinos or mucus are used as ingredients). There are even special promotional flavours dedicated to all the cities of Auros, including Kati Kun and The Drear.
When exporting the product to other cities, in order to keep it cold while traveling over long distances. The ice cream is kept inside barrels filled with northern ice that takes longer to melt compared to regular ice due to its condencity. Vendors must wait for the ice to melt before they are able to retrieve the ice cream from the barrels and sell it to their customers.
Mechanics & Inner Workings
Little crystals form inside the ice cream that melt on your tongue and release a burst of flavour. The company making the ice cream claim that there is over 3000 of these crystals inside every tub so that each bite is full of flavour and excitement.
Manufacturing process
The two processes that make Kaska Ice Scream so unique and popular is the milk and tempreture used to create it. The milk is from the northern bear-pig, an animal only found in the Kaska ice mountains. The second is using extremely cold temperatures to create pasteurization instead of heat, a processs only doable in the Kaskan ice.
While the ice scream itself is the most popular dessert in all of Auros, some flavours are rarer than others. Promotional packs dedicated to cities like The Drear and Kati Kun are very rare but the rarest flavour is Dragons Blood. A deep red ice cream that was made for the 99 year anniversary of the ice creams production. Only 666 tubs were made and sent inside other orders at random. To date only twelve tubs whereabouts are known, and of those twelve only 4 are unopened or uneaten.
