Darasif, God of Tempests

Darasif, the storm that ushers you forward, is a God obsessed with the concept of growth and never being idle. To him, stagnation is a fate worse than death, a betrayal of one's potential. Darasif's essence crackles with restless energy, a relentless storm seeking to unsettle the complacent and drive the hesitant to action. He believes that the strongest steel is forged in the hottest fires, and so he tests mortals and young Gods alike, pushing them to their limits with trials that seem insurmountable.   Darasif's followers are those who crave growth—warriors seeking to sharpen their skills, scholars pursuing endless knowledge, and leaders looking to inspire change. They understand that to worship Darasif is to invite challenge, for his blessings are earned through perseverance and resilience. Darasif cares little for the weak-willed, those who break under pressure or refuse to face hardship. To such souls, his storms are merciless, a battering force that leaves no room for cowardice. Yet, for those who embrace the struggle and thrive within it, Darasif's storms are a guiding wind, a force that propels them toward greatness.

Origin

Darasif is the last of the second generation of Gods in the Auroraverse, born from the worship of the first mortals who appreciated bountiful weather and cursed disastrous weather. His existence is as unpredictable as the storms he commands—at times gentle as a spring rain, at others violent as a hurricane. Darasif has witnessed the rise and fall of empires, planets, and even Gods, his gaze ever watchful as the tides of fate shift and change. To some, he is a guiding wind that propels them forward; to others, a relentless storm that threatens to drown them.

Followers: Worship of Darasif attracts tinkerers, inventors, sailors, and those seeking solutions to complex problems. Darasif communicates with mortals through epiphanies and lightning strikes, preferring to inspire through the forces of the storm. Ceremonies and rituals often involve seeking moments of clarity during thunderstorms, with lightning viewed as a direct expression of Darasif’s divine will.

Church: Churches to Darasif often sport beautiful and intricate halls donated by thankful craftsmen.

Champions

Champions of Darasif are individuals who have pushed far beyond their limits and yet still seek to go further. Darasif is incredibly picky and as such rarely selects a champion, believing only those who could become perfect champions can be permitted to serve him.

Relationships

Darasif isn’t a very sociable God and has many times expressed his disdain for them. This doesn’t mean he doesn't interact with the other Gods but just that said interactions are often brief and to the point.

• Geryu: Geryu is Darasif’s adopted mother and has the most cordial relationship with him. He enjoys her love of ancient lore, introspection, and complex patterns. The two sometimes talk for days, debating the flaws in ancient sophistries and discussing the meaning of the Auroraverse. Geryu, imperturbable and constant, makes the ideal counter to the wise yet temperamental Darasif.
