Rubros is an island nation comprising 17 islands, though not all are inhabited. The largest and most notable of these is Mador, which serves as the nation's capital and heart.

Dead Man's Port

The capital, known as Dead Man's Port, was initially founded by a group of daring pirates seeking refuge from their enemies and a safe harbor for their secret activities. Over time, it has grown into a lively center of pirate culture, trade, and intrigue, where adventurous souls from across the Aurin seas come together.       Dead Man's Port is known for its rugged coastline, vibrant market stalls full of exotic goods, and lively taverns echoing with tales of the sea. Here, pirate crews share stories of their bold quests, while merchants trade in contraband and rare treasures. The capital's reputation as a pirate haven has attracted various groups, from treasure hunters to bounty hunters, creating a melting pot of diverse characters and lively activity that embodies the spirit of Rubros.       Dead Man's Port is characterized by its rugged coastline, vibrant market stalls brimming with exotic goods, and lively taverns echoing with tales of the sea. The Rules and Laws in Rubros

The people of Rubros follow a unique governance system that eschews a traditional monarch; instead, they are led by an enigmatic figure known as The Key. This title is given to a highly trusted and charismatic pirate, who undertakes the responsibility for a period of seven years. The primary duty of The Key is to adjudicate disputes and resolve conflicts among the island's inhabitants, ensuring harmony within this diverse community. In Rubros, The Key's word is law, and their decisions are final.       The origin of The Key’s title can be traced back to the legendary pirate Ulrika Denholm, a pivotal figure in Aurin's pirate history. As trust develops, suspicions also grow. The Key’s role was designed to restore faith in shared governance, allowing pirates to rely on a single authority during turbulent times.       In Rubros, the laws are straightforward and guided by the principle of mutual respect among its residents. The cornerstone of this code is simple: as long as you respect the autonomy of others and refrain from theft while on the island, you will be safe. One of the most serious offenses is stealing from another pirate, as Rubros strives to be a sanctuary for all members of the brotherhood and sisterhood of the sea. Engaging in theft not only jeopardizes relationships but also carries severe consequences. Those found guilty of stealing from fellow pirates risk permanent banishment from the island, denying them the chance to return to this cherished haven.

The Climate of Rubros

Rubros is a breathtaking archipelago that basks in a vibrant tropical climate, where the azure waters shimmer under the golden embrace of the sun, with sunsets that transform the horizon into a canvas of warm oranges, deep pinks, and soft purples. At the same time, equally stunning sunrises greet the dawn with radiant beams of light that dance upon the waves.       Among the rich tapestry of local traditions, the pirate inhabitants embrace an age-old craft in their leisure time: brewing. With skillful hands, they concoct an array of ales and beers, drawing upon the island's abundant bounty of native fruits and vegetables. The intoxicating aromas of brewing fill the air, blending the distinct flavors of the land.
