Shir Lott

Shir Lott are a species of Osina , found in The Ring .

Basic Information

Anatomy

Like all Osina, Shir Lott have 6 limbs: Two powerful hind legs, and four less pronounced, but still strong forelegs. They are furry, and rather agile.   Something unique to the Shir Lott, however, is their strange feature of growing visible bones outside of their skin. Their spines grow long external protrusions, depending on their age, and some of their ribs grow small spiky nodules.   Their faces are elongated, and they have large, blackish blue eyes.   The Shir Lott has a very long, thin tail, which is used for balance when chasing prey, and climbing the terrain.

Genetics and Reproduction

Shir Lott usually have about 6-8 kittens per pregnancy.

Ecology and Habitats

Shir Lott, being hunters, use persistence hunting to capture their prey. This means that they constantly chase their prey, until the prey is exhausted, where the pack of Shir Lott pounce.

Dietary Needs and Habits

These Osina  are exclusively carnivorous predators.

Social Structure

Shir Lott have a matriarchal pack structure, with the oldest female being the alpha. The matriarch is the one who coordinates hunting.

Domestication

Shir Lotts have been partially domesticated, as pets in the Ring and in The Crown Territories , as they are both seen as cute, and as having the ability to form mutually beneficial relationships with Humans .

Uses, Products & Exploitation

These predators have started to be used to deter pests in farmland regions in The Ring , due to them being able to chase away smaller Osina, and other animals.

The Shir Lott is located exclusively in The Ring .
