Challenge Island

A mysterious island located in Opal Bay a few kilometers of the shore close the Amara's Seat. The island is shrouded in a mystical mist that acts like a barrier around the island. Once a ship enters the mist it never returns from it. However, any crew that was on board the ship will appear a exactly three days later on a floating raft northeast of the island. They are at first unconsious, but regain consiousness once the raft leaves the mist. These returnees do not remember what has transpired during the days that they were inside the mist. However, they do remember that they had challenged the island and if they failed they have a desire to return to challenge the island once more. The treasures brough back by those that succeeded are powerful, but not always the same. Furthermore not all challengers returned alive. No challengers have ever returned with a map or something similar.

History

The island appeared some time ago during a powerful elemental storm. Since then it has attracted a lot of interest from the Amaran Navy, the guild Dini Mueter and other organizations.

This island remains unexplored with many interesting structures, ruins and more that are hidden in the vast and dense rainforests of the island.
