Biological Traits
A tibbet's base form is their feline form and this is the form they revert to when killed or rendered unconscious. They posses the biological supernatural ability to polymorph at will between their feline and humanoid form. This ability functions mechanically like the spell of the same name but limited to switching from the one form to the other and it functions in areas where other magic wouldn't.
Genetics and Reproduction
Sexual reproduction with pregnancy lasting about 6 months before the mother gives birth to 2-4 kits.
Growth Rate & Stages
Childhood among tibbets lasts about 6 years and is followed by an adolescent period of about 4. Tibbets are considered fully adult by the age of 12. No one knows when or if old age sets in for them as they do not tend to remain in one location long enough to be tracked.
Ecology and Habitats
Dietary Needs and Habits
Obligatory carnivores.
Additional Information
Social Structure
Tibbets are semi-solitary creatures that form loose colonies within larger cities. Each neighborhood or district may be claimed by 2-3 individual tibbets who prowl about and observe anything they find interesting. Meanwhile all the tibbets in a given city may make up 1 to 3 separate colonies depending on the tibbet population and size of the city, each with a central location away from prying eyes where they care for their young, sick, and injured and where each member spends a few hours every few days exchanging news and trinkets and offering up a portion of whatever food and goods they have accumulated for the care of those who cannot leave the den.
Domestication
While they may spend most of their time looking like a domestic cat, tibbets themselves most certainly are NOT domesticated pets. However an individual tibbet may take an interest in a particular family or individual within its territory and take up with them, looking out for them and protecting them after the tibbets own fashion; maybe revealing its true nature and maybe not.

Naming Traditions
Tibbets collect names like magpies collect shiny things. They start of with a simple one or two syllable given name and take the name of their city or neighborhood as a surname and add to those as their deeds and accomplishments grow. They usually just offer their firstname when dealing with non-tibbets but The Exchanging of Names is a very formal ceremony among tibbets meeting each other for the first time or after an extended absence which can last for a couple of hours as they compare life experiences and establish a hierarchy.
History
Tibbets have a long and illustrious history as wise and benevolent councelors to the rich and royal, according to the tibbets. This is not a complete fabrication as many rulers and noble peoples will welcome a tibbet's observations on their realms or districts. Tibbets are far too independent and capricious to make good spies or secret police, but their incurable curiosity and fascination for watching the activities of other sapient races make them very good at reading a room or nailing down the pulse and mood of a community and making practical observations about ways to adjust it, if they feel like sharing.
Which they usually are if they feel the ruler in question is trustworthy. Tibbets are undeniably protective about the general well being of their claimed territories and generally seek to improve the lives of those living there in small ways that do not take up too much of the tibbets effort. Many thieves guilds and cutpurses have found their every waking moment made miserable by the local catwere clan if their activities have gotten out of hand.
