Braelish Highbrow
High Curator Braelish Highbrow
Mental characteristics
Personal history
Braelish joined The Watchers Over the Vault as a child when his parents offered him up to Corlan En-Dal, having realized his aptitude with devouring books and recalling anything had read. He rose rapidly through the ranks of The Archive, the branch of the Watchers that manages the temple libraries of Corlan's church. By age 25, Braelish had become highly regarded by most of his colleagues for his ability to not just recall information but to apply it given problems and teach or draw applicable solutions. By age 32 he was Head Archivist of the regional temple where he served. At age 36 he was elected to fill the the position of High Executor of the Archive and took his seat on The Quorum.
His tenure on the Quorum was mostly unremarkable in that Aurus, globally, was enjoying a period of relative peace and prosperity. Braelish became highly respected for the way he administered his office and coordinated with the other brances with a quiet efficiency that predicted problems and had solutions ready to implement by the time they came to the notice of the other Quorum members. By the time the High Curator's post became vacant, Braelish had been administering the church in all but name of over a decade. He was officially titles unanimously at age 41.

Education
Studied extensively as part of his clerical training the Watchers. Widely considered one of the most well versed scholar and philosophers on Aurus in this day.
Employment
Worked for the Watchers for his entire adult like, though clerics and priests and not technically employees; none the less, the church has been responsible for his livelihood since his early childhood.
Intellectual Characteristics
Braelish is considered to have an eidetic memory as well as a well developed sense of logic which allows him to interpret and adapt the information he recalls and offer very practical applications for it.
Morality & Philosophy
Much like Corlan himself, Braelish has a mostly neutral good philosophy on morality. He believes that individuals prosper the most when they identify as part of a larger group and are devoted to a higher calling or organization, such as the church or their ethnic culture; and that those same organizations and groups prosper most when they focus on the needs of their individual members. He recognizes the importance of law and order in allowing for the security and prosperity of people, as well as the need for the freedom to defy and protest laws that are unjust.
Personality Characteristics
Motivation
As the head of the church of Aurus's prime deity, Braelish considers it his responsibility to campaign for the well-being of all peoples. To that end he pushes his clerics to agitate and uplift the downtrodden and his paladins to confront tyrants. Much like his predecessor, he senses a growing feeling of urgency and vigilance from Corlan and has received several visions and dreams urging a world-wide call to arms to seek out and extinguish fiendish activity wherever it can be found. Braelish isn't sure what exactly he is preparing for, but the visions and dreams of hell's armies occupying and marching across the face of Aurus are enough to keep him motivated.
