Vidia City
Demographics
Many of the rich men, the capitalists, live on the edges of the city. Either closer to Vidia Ultimus Luix, or on the outer edges of the city, just never in the middle. Of course, there are exceptions to where the rich live. Some of the lower upper class live inside the middle, mingling with the middle and poor class alike, who typically live in the middle no matter what. This is also represented in how tall the buildings are built, the rich usually build tall skyscrapers for themselves(and their families), which being on the edges gives a walled-off feeling when looking from the inside or outside. Unless its closer to the Citadel(Vidia Ultimus Luix), then the skyscrapers are dwarfed by the Citadel, looking like a wannabe extension of the palace.
Culturally, about 95% of the city is Vidian, since not many put up with the harsh winters that the city faces. The other 4.8 percent is Cernai, who, despite generally having the hardest time through immigration protocols has a decent foothold in the city. While 99.8 percent of Vidia City is at least 1 culture, the last 0.2 percent is actually a mix of Vidian and Cernai, who call themselves Cerian.
Government
Vidia City is not run by a typical government across the rest of the Empire; instead of 1 mayor overseeing a whole city, it's instead a population-based amount of mayors locally elected running a small part of the city, overseen by not a governor or overseer, but the Emperor Of Frost and Ash himself. Which is an oddity, due to the fact that the rest of the empire's lower-level officials are appointed and not elected.
This means that for every 2 million inhabitants the city has, a new mayor takes a chunk of land to administer that section of the city. Which, in total of mayoral zones in the city, there are about 143 mayors in Vidia City, all with similar laws, except for about 6 mayors.
Defences
The first line of defense is the Earthcrackers, which is moved every year to accommodate for the city's almost constant growth. For the Earthcrackers, their intent is to create a 50 mile rift between the city and the open fields right outside. If one manages to get past the earthcrackers, they must go through the capitalist's skyscrapers, acting like steel walls, some with missiles and turrets manned by citizens or the rich themselves. Of course, if one manages to get past the skyscraping walls, then they must get through the people or the Berserker Guard, which the latter would make quick work of anyone attempting to even breathe in the vicinity of the city with the intent to kill. Finally, the last line of defense is the Ashfrost Ascendant, where the Emperor takes up arms and fights alone, or with whatever remnants that is of the old city.
Industry & Trade
Almost 90% of all inhabitants in Vidia City work in the industrial sector, while the other 10% take jobs as religious ministers, financial officers, etc. This is most attributed due to being a Holy City in the Vidian Religion, being the patron city of Industria means that the citizens must praise him every day by working in the industrial sector, thus promoting productivity and efficiency. Which creates profit, that leads to the capitalists funding more projects, but also the communities within Vidia City, creating new jobs and public areas, respectively.
Infrastructure
The first level of infrastructure is the network of roads springing off of roads that connect to the Al'va Autovania, the largest highway in the world, starting in Vidia City. With the second being the postal office and logistic networks the capitalists have built, allowing for nigh instant transport of any goods that enter or exit the city. Along with multiple airports placed in a hexagonal grid, with a metro line connecting to all of them, with a logistic center in the middle of each airport.
For the third level of infrastructure, it is the low-level industry jobs, the craft shops and boutiques that litter the streets of the residential zones. With the 4th level, the mid-range industry jobs are the ones everyone mainly works in, the arc furnaces, metal casters, food processing factories, textiles, and finally, early electronic manufacturing centers. In the 5th level of infrastructure, there are high-level industrial complexes, the electronic manufacturing hubs, universities, @Exovin Institutes, the laybrnithine sewer system that all lead to the central waste management plant underground, and the blimp travel network hubs that allow for quicker travel throughout the city.
As for the second to last level, there is the public walkway bridges that allow a scenic view of that zone's region. Finally, for the last level of infrastructure, during the @Warlord Wars, a law was passed by the Emperor Of Frost and Ash that allowed cities to claim space above them, as long as the construction commenced in the area right above their city limits. Which meant that there was a ripe opportunity to create an orbital space station that would fall under Vidia City rules. It was deemed to be governed by the 69th Mayor of Vidia City until a complete population of 2 million could move to the space station. Completed in Xixier 21st, 2693, it would be a logistical super center, able to trade with anyone, anywhere within minutes.

The Capitalists
The Capitalists... is there much to say about them? They hold 86% of the wealth of the entire Vidian Empire, yet they somehow don't do anything malicious??? Truly a riddle wrapped in a package of kindness.
Oh, Capitalists, why won't you attempt to overthrow the Emperor? You have all the resources, the wealth, the fingers in the pies of every nation on this planet. I see, the wealth-flow must be maintained, and overthrowing the Emperor would only kill it? Of course, we must ask another question: why Vidia City? The Ecmarkarvl Xenoylo | Kingdom of the Cernians have much more lucrative opportunities, the Edylens xo Jarvoake | United Federation of Edylens have the cheapest workforce in the world, so why Vidia City and the Empire? Its because of the danger lurking behind?
This was a conversation between a common man and a group of the capitalist strata, which gives the reasoning why they never attempted to overthrow the Ashfrost Emperor and take complete power. Of course, they are the tamest of the 3 main power blocs within Vidia City.
The Archolords
Archolords, our religious leaders for the men and women that isn't of the intelligensia or the Emperor. But at least for the Emperor he's the Highest Beacon.
The Archolords, the 2nd highest level of the @Inarælea religion's hierarchy, they preach and guide those worshipping the 3 gods of the religion. Being those that preach, they tend to have the backing of the people if things go south with the Emperor, and do tend to be the best word of mouth for news about the Emperor, making them ever more influential. Usually, there are 3 Archolords per @Templtory, one for each deity, which provides even more leverage over the people, since they tend to go to the man who knows what he's talking about.
Of course, when all things are bad, they tend to help out, but when the Emperor is about to do something bad, they aren't above threatening to remove his mandate, making them the 2nd tamest of the 3 power blocs within Vidia City.
The Preservationists
Preservationists? Those sickly idiots who want to "preserve life" when they actively kill it by buying fake organic products? Come back to me when they actually shut up and eat real food, like meat.
The preservationists, the smallest yet most radical and violent bloc in the entire city, they tend to disobey the Archolords and refuse to buy products made from the Capitalists. Typically, they protest for the end to Vidia City's expansion, the creation of farms for every balcony, deindustrialize areas that could potentially yield recreational crops for them, and the creation of a "Green belt" around the city, preventing any development permanently. They have never made any actual progress, and have been disbanded every time, but there are periods of moderation where they propose less radical items like home gardens and eco filters on the factories. That is how they remain a major power bloc, a group that is never truly disbanded, but has periods of moderation and radicalization.
Points of interest
Of course, all want to see the Vidia Ultimus Luix, but there are a few other major points of interest. Such as the Exovin Institute of West-Ela, which has one of, if not the highest, scientific outputs of all time. Along with the mayorship of Industria-Maximus, where the highest wages are paid, only the elite ever manage to work there, and the most prestigious products are made there.
Tourism
Most tourists, if they even get the chance, will see everything. The cuisine, architecture, public works of art, the communities, the massive industrial complexes that span miles upon miles, and even random things like water fountains that were built hundreds of years ago. Especially things like the Blimp Transit System and the copious number of skyscrapers in the city.
Geography
The closer you get to the Citadel, the higher the elevation gets. However, the further out you go, the flatter the terrain. Of course, the center of the city is nowhere close to a major river or an ocean, however typically the further north is colder and rockier, while the further south is flatter, more forested, and generally warmer.
Climate
In the winter, it tends to be -23°F and always snowing. However, during the transition months, it is of the perfect equilibrium between cold and hot, around 49°F, and a cool breeze while the sun wanes. This is typical for almost all of Vidia City, considering its size, so it is a climate anomaly across the planet, and possibly the galaxy. Of course, it can't all be perfect. During the summer, it tends to reach 76°F with little to no breeze, but with low humidity.
Natural Resources
Almost all of the natural resources underground in the first 200 miles have been extracted permanently, used to build the Vidia Ultimus Luix and to fuel the burgeoning industrial revolution that was about to take place. With the next 500 miles, those iron, coal and limestone reserves underground are nearing complete extraction, which means a lot of repairs are being done with outside resources from other governorships. At least with wood there is a large southern reserve that can be replanted unless they are developed, which tends to be the case.
