Temple of the Night Huntress
This grand temple to Feralia in Catseye is a sprawling complex of interconnected buildings and courtyards, nestled in the heart of the city. The buildings are constructed from a mix of stone, wood, and woven materials, blending seamlessly with the surrounding environment. The temple is open to the sky, with trees and vines growing up through the floors and around the columns, giving the impression that the temple is a living, breathing organism.
The main entrance to the temple is a grand archway flanked by two massive stone statues of panthers, their eyes gleaming in the dappled sunlight filtering through the canopy. Inside, the main courtyard is filled with colorful flowers and exotic plants, and is surrounded by covered walkways and small shrines to various aspects of Feralia's worship.
At the center of the courtyard stands the main temple building, a soaring structure of wood and stone with a thatched roof and open walls. Inside, the temple is dimly lit by flickering candles and the dappled sunlight filtering through the leaves above. The air is heavy with the scent of incense and the sound of chanting echoes softly off the walls.
In the center of the temple stands a massive statue of Feralia herself, rendered in gleaming gold and green jade. She stands poised on the back of a snarling panther, one hand raised in blessing and the other clutching a gleaming spear. The walls of the temple are adorned with intricate carvings and paintings depicting scenes from Tabaxi mythology, and offerings of flowers, feathers, and other treasures are scattered around the base of the statue.
The temple is a place of quiet contemplation and fierce devotion, where the Tabaxi come to pay homage to their powerful and enigmatic deity.
