Repairs Required (Session 27)

Our party speaks to the mysterious Grande Father within the stone and arrive to Mechanicus where Scar is almost ripped apart.

We return to our heroes in the middle of their argument as they are intrupted by a voice speaking out from the runestone, the Grande Father.
The party asked him many questions in which the Grande Father told them many things. Claiming that reality was corrupted and he wanted to cleanse it. He stated the source of this corruption was the gods both old and new. Saying that they needed to be removed.
The Grande Father claimed the Church of Rebirth had distorted his words for their own purposes including the 8 runestones of his causing them to also be corrupted. As they spoke with him they noticed the rune glowing brighter and decided to stop talking to him for now, unsure of the full power it posses.
During this same time it is revealed that Nirx was an orphan from Martslock who was a bit of a street rat prior to being transported to Glimmervale where he remained for many years.
It is also revealed that Constance has gone by many names throughout her life to protect herself, Amelia from birth, and Eve while within the Church of Rebirth. However, she preferred Constance as her name.
From here the party continues journying to Mechanicus with Lancaster and Clara on the SS. Glimmervale.
They appraoched the artificatial plane a massive spacestation of sorts with massive brass tubes rotating around a central point similar to an astrolabe. Strong energies were pulsing from the center point. Clara gave some information regarding the inhabitats of Mechanicus being a race of gnomes distinct from those that reside on the Material Plane being also its creators.
An overwhelming aura of sadness filled the crew as they descended to Mechanicus as a few round metal men flew up to their ship, similar to Mondrones but with biological aspects built in. They spoke out in the voice of Theresa asking for Scar to follow them. They travled around the exterior of the outer tube for several hours. Constance catching a glimps of a stone man in one of the extrerior windows before approaching a landing area.
Flying in and scratching the ship slightly the movement of metal sheets, blowing of steam, and churnning of gears filled the area. A few of our party members getting glimpses of bone, muscles, and the like as the walls closed up.
A Construct very similar to Scar in make walked onto the ship asking for Scar aka Copper Guardian Unit #0001 to come with him as repairs are needed.
The party followed down the long hallways of Mechanicus getting senses of something being off, the peeling of paint, smell of blood, piles of stone and dusk on the ground. But before anything kicks off they approach the door to the repair room.
Scar made it clear he wanted to speak with Theresa before any repairs were done but was ignored by the other Construct, who before Scar could escaped strapped him into the machine as combat engaged. Sadly Clara and Lancaster were locked just outside in the hallway.
Floods of the smaller flying Constructs came out of many pneumatic tubes and Scar began to be rippped apart with splintering wood and bent metal plates. As a voice speaks out "Emotion Core Extraction Sequence Begun".
With quick thinking Constance used two uses of Thunderclap to shatter the tube as Slickk grabbed onto Scar teleporting him to safety.
But as more and more Constructs flooded into the Chamber, Clara and Lancaster finally got threw the door as glowing runes appeared on the backwall of the room. Stepping through a strange spellcaster sent foward a bolt of lightening killing the Constructs in the room yelling for our party to follow him into the duct and escape the automatons for now.
