Daglir (dɑɣlir)
Daglir (Runic: ᛞᚨᚷᛚᛖᚱ; Khem: Δαγλιρ) is one of the seven elemental deities. He is bound to the element of Water and he is the god of the seas. The waves of the oceans has spread the word of Daglir far and wide.
Epithets
As the waves of the oceans spread the word of Daglir, the ideas of their followers began to diverge. Different aspects of their faith began to diverge into different epithets of the faith.
Daglir Vatn
Daglir Van is the epithet of Water. His followers live inland surround any body of water. Their faith differences from the other epithets, because they have been influenced by the surrounding deities.
Daglir Speki
Daglir Speki is the epithet of knowledge. They symbolise the waves as the word of the sea and sea the oceans as a library of knowledge. Therefore they built coastal libraries gathering knowledge from far and wide. It is not a religion of faith, but more of faith in a higher power of assistance.
Daglir Mani
Daglir Mani is the epithet of the Moon. Their followers idolise the Moon for their control of the tides. Their shrines have been built to gather under the nights sky and feel the power of the moonlight.
Daglir Saer
Daglir Saer is the epithet of the sea's. Their followers have faith in him to guarantee safe travel across the sea's. Shrines were built in coastal towns to pray to Daglir before starting their voyage.
Daglir Vertrar
Daglir Vertrar is the epithet of Winter. Their followers follow Daglir for their control of water and the fore it's other state of snow. Their followers live int he high peaks of Miles. They built shrines in the higher peaks to assist Daglir in the circle of the weather.
Mythology
Daglir was a normal creature on the matrial plane. He preached about th epower of the waves and teached about the way of the blade. Yet his destiny was altered in the event of the Wailing of the Deep. Exian gave him a new fate as the deity of the Sea and a new form as a sea serpent. After these events they went to work and reshaped the domain to his liking ad teachings. They replaced the big book of laws from Exian with the Songr Vithr.
Songr Vithr
The Songr Vithr is a ancient artifact which was supposedly written by Daglir himself. It is an grand epic, which covers the Sagas and Tales of Daglir in his time on the earth. From this we can conclude that Daglir is one of the last elements to ascend. We know this because some of the elements of the Sagas are found in the historical archives of Daglir Speki.Tenets of Faith
