Visionary, Architect, Genius
The creations of Robert Newman changed our Galaxy, in a way no other individual has ever been capable. It propelled the Federation onto the Galactic stage, and primed its economy for Galactic Hegemony. Jerace's greatest mistake, was agreeing to the Grand Highways Initative.
Robert Newman was an Envisien inventor and engineer, who was primarily responsible for the Faster Than Light Travel ability of the Seven Great Highways. He also played a key role in the creation of the Grand Highways Initiative, especially in regards to the Federation's major involvment.
Even a thousand years after his death, Newman is still widely considered one of the greatest figures in the Federation's history. The Federal Transgalactic Highway still transports trillions across Federation Space, and represents the nation's power more than anything else.
We give thanks in perpetuity to this man. This man who overcome the troubles of physics, who could do what no other could do. Let him be an inspiration for another thousand centuries, for to Robert Newman, do we owe endless thanks.
