Lands of Reverie

The Lands of Reverie, also known as The Bramblelands, are the lands which once encompassed the former Kingdom of Reverie before the reign of Mad King Jack.

Geography

Reverie was once a land of rolling hills and lush fields, a land of beauty near incomparable to its surrounding neighbors. However, after Mad King Jack's reign, the land has become twisted. Over 20 years ago, a tremendous beanstalk erupted from the capital, completely destroying it and leveling much of the surrounding countryside. From there, massive bramble-like vines cut through the hills and forests, wrapping around buildings and farmsteads, cutting and breaking the landscape like a trowel. The vines broke apart its northern and western coasts, filling the sea with tremendous vines before they were corroded by the salt, and surrounding kingdoms have been fighting nonstop to prevent the spread of the vines, like Treviso to the south, which uses Geppetto's armored "Puppets".   Furthermore, the living vines make it hard to map the region, as they shift and move with some maps only really going off of landmarks and former towns. In the heart of the kingdom is the Great Beanstalk, a massive root-like stalk that drives high into the sky until it seems to pierce into the moon above, locking it in place over the Lands of Reverie, trapping them in perpetual moonlight.

Localized Phenomena

The Brambles and vines seem to have done something truly bizarre to the citizens and creatures of this area. Due to the Great Beanstalk trapping the moon in place over the Lands of Reverie. Time seems to stand still, while days and nights pass, life doesn't age nor does it seem to stay truly dead unless completely destroyed. People within the Brambles can lose limbs, blood, etc. and seem either completely unaffected or unable to die from their wounds either continuing on but in severe agony, or reviving due to becoming infested with brambles. Even creatures like deers, birds, etc. do not stay permanently dead, worrying neighboring countries who fear such creatures will help spread the brambles.
