Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Until her death she had been in good shape. She used to take part in sparing exercises and meditation to strengthen her body and mind for the magic she wielded.

Body Features

Estishya was of tall slender build, one of the tallest wood elves to ever live. She was strong and graceful, like most elves.

Facial Features

Her face had prominent cheekbones and high forehead, bow shaped lips and upturned eyes with arched eyebrows.

Identifying Characteristics

Her piercing green eyes and the marks she started wearing on her face to better control magic.

Special abilities

She was the first elf to recognise the patterns of magic and deliberately use magic. She was a wielder of green flame but her understanding of magic was so deep that she could use multiple types of it. She also drew the Estirian Runes from the fabric of magic itself.

Apparel & Accessories

Estishya famously wore nothing but green, yellow, gold and brown (leather). Her clothes were made to represent the forest she lived in, with patterns of leaves, thorns and flowers woven into the fabric, or shaped to take the form of leaves.

Specialized Equipment

Estisyha had a legendary sword, Tilestras, which contains the soul of a nature spirit that pledged itself to her.

Mental characteristics

Personal history

Estishya was born in the northern woods in the Greiforn Mountains. When the cold and an imbalance in the magical atmosphere caused by Segiirnersis reached the woods, the trees began to die and many elves lost their lives to the icy cold. Estishya's parents, who were highly esteemed among the elves and by some considered their leaders, were among the victims. Her younger brother, who was mourning the loss of their parents deeply and couldn't really move on, started isolating himself more and more and the two grew apart. Estishya tried to reach out to her brother but their relationship only worsened. In the end they separated for good in a huge argument.
Estishya then led her followers, which contained the bigger part of the woodelves south-eastwards in a hard and long journey until, after years of wandering around, they found the Estirian Woods and settled in the upper most part of the forest.
Estishya listened to the flow of magic and after years recognized a pattern. Through deep meditation she learnt what the pattern meant. The trees and the earth were speaking and they taught her how to speak with magic. Estishya's eyes grew fierce and piercing and strangely haunted but she was the first elf to wield magic deliberately. When she tried to teach others how to use it, many of them died and so she and some others developed the marks for controlling magic better.
She also founded Nature Dualism.
The Estirian Realm was peaceful for a long time until a conflict with the Bearskins arose that would lead to Estishya's death.In one of their many long battles, she wielded magic so strong her body couldn't contain it, and thus she died, but her last spell was enough to win the war and later re-establish peace.

Estishya had learnt all that her community had to offer: singing, hunting, wood carving, sewing etc. Her knowledge of magic she had gathered herself.

Employment

She started as the unofficial leader of one part of the woodelves but they soon chose her as their official leader. Once they had settled in what would become known as the Realm of Estira, she took the title of Queen with the encouragement of her followers. Once she had discovered Nature Dualism she also became the head priestess and herald of the lord and lady, but she gave the title of high priestess to her close companion Sahshri Tirfinsahsḧ after she'd deemed her ready for the task.

Many of her people died in the journey to Estira and then again once she had discovered the workings of magic and tried to teach her people.

Mental Trauma

The long wandering through the icy wastelands of Arregeas and the death of many of her people and friends had been quite devastating for her and haunted her until long after. The argument that tore her and her brother apart was also devastating for her.

Estishya strived to move past appearances and get to the heart of things, she was an insightful and curious person who very passionate and informed about magic and the elvish condition. She was ambitious and goal-oriented. Whenever an idea or pursuit captured her imagination, she dedicated herself to mastering the subject and gaining relevant skills. Estishya tended to have clear visions of what itsuccess looked like for her, and few things could deter her from turning these visions into reality. She loved to take on all sorts of challenges and wouldn't rest until she had mastered them. She had strong beliefs, a vivid imagination and a strong sense of compassion.

Vices & Personality flaws

Estyshia was plagued by perfectionism, nothing ever seemed good enough to her. Thush, she could be scathingly critical. But this criticism was often unfair and based on arbitrary standards she set out of frustration. This frustration also led to her isoliting herself from others from time to time. Her ceaseless strife for finding and fulfilling a greater purpose and trying to avoid mediocrity also weighed heavy on her and sometimes strained her relationships with those closest to her. Adding to that that she was a very private person who didn't discuss her struggles openly, her relationships and herself suffered a lot for unnecessary reasons.

Estishya was no stranger to getting dirty during her meditations in the woods, but it is said that in later years the dirt wouldn't even dare touch her anymore and that she hovered above ground. However, it is unknown whether that is actually true or just a myth.

Estishya's reign was a long and prosperous one and lasted for 2116 years. She was adored by her people and trusted to only do what's best for them.

As the leader of Estira, she was in contact with other nation leaders, but for the most part Estishya stayed out of international affairs.

Family Ties

She and her brother Redzayth used to be close, but once the cold took their parents, they started to grow apart and in the end each lead a different group of elves away from the north.

She is the one who was first contacted by the Lord and the Lady and spread their message, so she was incredibly dedicated to Nature Dualism.
