The Crumble

Buried within the Lost Mountains is the Lost Labyrinth, an ever-shifting maze of collapsing caves and crumbling ruins that have brought about the end of many adventuring careers, whether from death or resigning to among the Lost Hope of Sanctum, the only settlement of the region. One of the largest sections of this maze as the mostly-intact remnants of a Age of Ice civilization that occupied a vast cavern and even reached up to the ceiling above. This region was often the battleground for various Deepfolk, Sect, and other factions battling for control of the structures that had best weathered the passage of time.

However, at some point during the 542nd year of the Ae of Reclamation, something occurred the reduce these ruins to a crumbling geography where one has to be on constant vigilance to avoid the ceiling from raining down on them or the ground beneath their feet giving out beneath them. A constant shower of dust a debris echoes throughout the region, punctuated by the thunder of larger portions of the ceiling or floor giving way, warning all who enter that their grave will likely be within the depths of the earth.
